What are the vaccinates needed for a pregnant 18 y/o girl? (Form I-693)

I want to get my vaccinates done before calling Dr. L. E. Arnold (doctor that does your I-693 by mail), but I am not sure which ones I need.

I read something in the internet about USA guidelines of vaccinations for adults, but the minimum age group was 19-49, does this also apply to me?

Also, since I am pregnant, will they delay my application?

Thanks.

As you are pregnant, you will get a waiver on most of the vaccinations.

As you are adjusting from an F-1 visa, you need to do an in-person examination. You can't have your paperwork done by Dr Arnold, this option is only available to people who already went through the exam within a year and just need to get their vaccines transcribed.

I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Just meet up with the civil surgeon and he will advise you on which vaccine you might need (though I highly doubt that you will be doing any). You will also do a testing for HIV, Syphilis and TB (not sure on the last one).

AOS Approved on 10-17-08 (details in profile)

Removal of Conditions on 07-19-10

In this tedious process, we tend to forget that this is all worth it.

I love my hubby beyond anything in this world.

Ouch! And I thought I could get away without spending $200....

I have read that USCIS doctors sometimes will accept blood work and physical exams done by normal doctors. Is this true? I am asking because I have already been tested for a lot of things at my OB's office, and if I can avoid paying extra, that would be awesome.

Should I just call all the doctors around my zone and ask how much they ask for and what are their requirements?

Thanks!

I have read that you can have the vaccinations done by someone else and the CS will transcribe it. But I have never heard about the blood work...

You should definitely "shop around" and see which CS is willing to offer you the best price! Only a CS can do the exam, not any doctor.

Can anyone second that?

My friend was pregnant also when she filed for I-693. She was not given vaccines since she is pregnant. They only had blood test for her.

I have Kaiser insurance, but obviously those civil surgoens are not in the kaiser system. I told the civil surgeon that I could do the blood test and shots in kaiser. $120 vs $20 why not do it with your provider. I just have my doctor gave my a print out of the result and proof, and gave it to the civil surgeon. He has no problems with them.
