Making the medical appointment

I was wondering, for the medical since there are only 3 doctors in all of Canada that can do it now, is it possible to book it within the one month or so that you have between the call from the embassy and your interview?

It would be so much more convenient to be able to do both the interview and the medical in the same trip instead of having to make an extra flight.

Thanks

Absolutely. Many people do both on the same day or within the same trip. If you're in Alberta, I'm assuming that you'll be traveling to Vancouver, so just be aware that Vancouver only does medical appointments on Wednesdays, though Thursdays can be arranged in certain circumstances. You can request a specific interview date in Vancouver when you fax your checklist (I'm not sure about Montreal).

But my interview will be in Montreal I'm assuming since my case number begins with MTL, right? So I could get in my medical in Montreal in the same time period that I'm out there I'm assuming, right?

All CRI/IR1 interviews are done in Montreal. Check out this thread, it may provide you with the information you need. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...ntreal+medicals

Sure. Wait until you have an appointment in Montreal, and then make your medical appointment at that time. Get it all done on the one trip.
