Wow I´m shocked by how many NOA2´s there have been for March. Any assumptions on if this will slow the NVC down in the month coming?

Hard to tell. I've experienced a bit of slowdown, but not sure if this is common. My friends went through this process last year and once the application was approved, it only took a 2-3 days or a week for them to get a NVC case #. Mine took 2 weeks. Let's see what other VJ members say..

Congrats abdelkrim :) Good to see more people in March approved list. I had the same thing happen to me. We have all the stuff together, only thing we're waiting on is PCC from passport office (applied 2 weeks ago and is expect to take to more weeks, total of month). Good luck with NVC journey...

i was having trouble with some things from the NVC. So when I called them I asked directly for a supervisor. The supervisor halped me with every thing and got my problems solved and did it personally for me and every thing was fixed. It messed around with the normal operator for almost a month and didnt get any where with them. I called a supervisor and it was fixed immediately.

If you want a case # talk to a supervisor and explain to them thati ts has been way too long and that it should have been done by now. It worked for me any way.

One suggestion for all those who have NVC case #. Call NVC and provide them with your email address if you've easy access to computer/email. It makes things go faster and probably less chances of losing info. Good luck!!!

Hi Everyone... this is my first time posting anything on this site, as I am new to this whole process.

I received my NOA1 for i130 on February 26, 2009 and I already got an approval notice (NOA2) in the mail from March 17, 2009. I definitely did not expect the approval to happen so quickly. It has been less than a month. I was expecting it to be routed to the Vermont Service Center, but it was forwarded to California instead. I was upset because I thought it would take a lot longer in California, but I guess I was wrong.

I was planning on applying for a k3 visa for my husband (I acutally have all the paperwork ready to send on Monday morning), but since the i130 was already approved, should we just pursue the CR1 avenue? I have never even previously heard of the CR1 visa until reading a bunch of threads on this site.

I am really excited and hope the process continues to move quickly, especially because my husband and I are expecting a baby to arrive in May 2009. In fact, my baby shower was this morning and the approval letter from USCIS was waiting for me when I came home (it was a good day). :)

I have been reading the shortcut tips for the NVC, but I am also concerned that they are getting backlogged with all of the recent approvals. I haven't gotten anything from the NVC yet, but I did call the automated answering service and it seems like they haven't even received our case from USCIS yet.

So, do you all think that we should just go the CR1 route?

Thanks for the advice and best of luck to everyone! (L)
