Congrats darkequitus!!

I paid my I-864 (AOS) fee bill last Friday and was able to print the cover sheet last Saturday. Do I need to wait for NVC to contact me before I can send the I-864? Thanks in advance.

Please send this out asap. The cover sheet was the most important piece. Take care,

Waldo maybe this is the one you are refering to.It says that calling to make your own appointment is unique to Manilla so that wouldnt apply to us from Peru

Hi...and welcome to Visa Journey...

Here is a faster way to make an interview appointment with the U.S. Embassy Manila (USEM):

> Call the NVC and get your MNL case number, and ask the NVC if your case has been sent to the USEM.

> A few days after your case arrives at the USEM, start calling them to see if they have entered your case into their system.

> When your case has been entered into their system, you can schedule an interview appointment with them.

> When you have scheduled an interview appointment, the USEM will email you a confirmation of your interview appointment.

> You can have your medical at your convenience...about one or two weeks before your interview. You do not need an appointment for your medical. All you need to do is to bring your USEM appointment confirmation email and your ID.

Good luck for a speedy visa!

Is it better to send the I-864 and DS-230 individually or together? I'm torn. My I-864 is ready to go, but I'm still waiting for NVC to accep the DS-3032 so I can pay the IV fee bill.

BTW, I remember reading somewhere here that we need to send the originals and photocopies of documents. Is it for the DS-230 supporting documents (eg, beneficiary's birth certificate, marriage certificate, police clearance, etc)?

Yes I got a case number today. Apparently I called too early yesterday and it hadn't been updated! NVC watch out.

Thanks for the congrats

I sent my DS-230 only . The letter I received from stated I should not sent any other documents now but present m I-864 and others on the check list in person. I could not present my co-sponsor because they did not want it at the time. I was sent away to produce and courier a posted dated I-864 and I-864A from my co-sponsor after my interview. Theft. The process seems slightly different for you and an few other people. Sorry, I don't know the answer to your question.

some will tell you it's best to send them together...i, on the other hand would tell you to send them as you have them ready...why not? (i did this, along with MANY others and the forms got processed as they received them)(aug 2008 part of ling's and nimche's historic thread)...they are processed in different depts. and wont issue a "CASE COMPLETE" til ALL are received and reviewed....wouldn't it make more sense to get them reviewing your completed forms if they are ready....GOOD LUCK

Thanks guys for the advise. I've decided to go ahead and send the I-864 either tomorrow or Friday. I'm waiting for my pay stub for this coming pay day this Friday so I can include it with the package. :star:
