Hi

Does anybody know about when is the USCIS would asked for birth certificate of my mom? and when would they asked for more evidence coming from me? I dnt have the birth certificate of my mom yet , it stl on process in manila, her spelling of her first name was wrong it would take two month before they get it. Also what other papers they want aside from birth certificate? tnx alot

You would need her birth certificate once the I-130 has been approved and the case moves on to the NVC, you need to submit the birth certificate with the DS-230.

After the I-130 has been approved by the USCIS, which can take anywhere from 3-12 months depending on the service center, it will be sent to the NVC for further processing. The NVC will then ask you to send in her birth certificate. So you have plenty of time still.

07/06/09 - I-751 sent to CSC

08/14/09 - Biometrics

09/27/09 - Approved

10/01/09 - Received 10 year green card

U.S. Citizenship

03/30/11 - N-400 sent via Priority Mail w/ delivery confirmation

05/12/11 - Biometrics

07/20/11 - Interview - passed

07/20/11 - Oath ceremony - same day as interview
