I understand your problem with CFO... I remember when my wife (then fiancee) went to CFO in Cebu. I was more upset then she was. They questioned why the dates on the Death Certificates of my 2 wives that I had lost to Cancer where signed by the Doctor a week later. I felt like they didn't believe the validality of the Certificates. It wasn't none of their business. The Death Certificates was enough. She ended up having to travel back there a week later so she could bring letters from the Hospices that helped me take care of my dying wives. I know CFO is a good thing, but they really overstepped their boundaries on this one...........

It is also same mine.they ask my husband divorce decree and i give the two papers but the nun wanting the first divorce decree like the second one.Infact, the first divorce just only one piece of paper cuz my husband said ...he was married at 19 years old and that marriage last for one year and they dont have a child nor assets and liabilities as in nothing and she said my husband have 3 case as what stated in the paper and i said no thats not his case...but his second divorce i think it compose of 15 pages and thats what a nun want for the first one.

Is it normal to have another case in the divorce paper which is not yours?

Its like a meeting, the secretary will state the previous meeting and that was copied in his divorce decree and then his case.

Its makes me cry that day...and she ask me when i come back and i say... next month hahahhahha...

" If we could live life all over again,we would still choose each other. If we are reborn to second life, we would marry each other again,we are persons with one heart, one soul, the same dreams and aspiration."

i was ready with all my documents when i went to cfo thats why i never had any problems..so it depends on the person really.

they asked any papers from the petitioner whether income tax return...divorce decree or whatsoever so they can have an information of that person..

So what documents are required at the CFO seminar?? Per their web site, only copies of visa/passport, a 2x2 picture a valid ID card and a copy of Immigration Data Summary are needed.

Why would anyone bring copies of tax returns???

Um... no I have not read that. What information about the petitioner do they want? How could you possibly know what other documents they might require? There is no possible need for a copy of the USC's tax return.

well actually thats what i gave them...i gave them the tax return..only the copy...but they didnt take all the page...only the page with the information about the petitioner...

thats why they put their telephone numbers and email address so if you have question about cfo seminar you can just call them or email them right?

you should have read here in the forum about cfo experience from other people so you didnt experience such hasle....hhehehhehe...in my case it was so easy...

its really not that bad....its just have you just dont have so much patience about how cfo works.

God bless you.

hehehe to you too. I see you are another one that has no clue about anything in running a process and people being treated as they should be treated. I tried to find CFO topics in this vj forums but there is no heading or forum titled CFO and I do not have months to open every forum and search each one for any posts about CFO. CFO should be a separate forum subject especially since CFO is being very poorly administered and can effect and has effected peoples departure dates! I did read all on the CFO web site. (another poorly written web site) I am glad you have so much patience that being treated poorly and an entire day of your time being wasted for a lousy stamp has no effect on your brain.

hehehehhe....oh theres a lot of cfo topics here..it wont even take months to look for it...even days...hehehhehe. i wasnt even treated poorly...yes you may find it a lousy stamp but we never know your fiancee might need help from cfo in the future..hehhehehhe.

yeah st. marys in quezon city is ok. In just 4 hours you can get everything you need and less people

i was ready with all my documents when i went to cfo thats why i never had any problems..so it depends on the person really.

they asked any papers from the petitioner whether income tax return...divorce decree or whatsoever so they can have an information of that person..

not all people going to usa or whatever countries know about what to do when they get there..cfo gives information about it..not all information but still it can help us as new immigrants or non-immigrants.

Thats what happened to me also. I was surprised that the CFO officers had to ask for the divorce decree and ask some questions about the relationship when I thought it was only a SEMINAR! They even ask for a picture of me and my then-fiance (now husband). my flight was the next day after my seminar but they said I can't fly not until I will produce a copy of the divorce decree. I was really upset at that time I thought I will cancel my flight again just because of the messed-up.

Hmn sounds fishy to me,i have a feeling they need something under the table sis?well it's only my opinion but i've had enough experienced about corrupt people in this country...it's shame but true...

"Our Wedding Prayer"

Lord, help us to remember when we first met,and the strong love that grew between us.

To work the love into practical things so nothing can divide us

Grant us a Love that grows stronger with each passing year.

We ask for words both kind and loving

and for hearts always ready to ask forgiveness as well as to forgive.

Guide us to overcome every challenge

and keep our dreams pure to each other always.

Dear Lord,we put our marriage into Your hands.Amen

If your heart acquires strength, you will be able to remove blemishes from others without thinking evil of them.

I have the same problem dealing with evil CFO supposed-to-be-seminar. I just gave them everything I gave US embassy all the papers and stuff coz i thought i didn't need anymore hassle in my life. We spent too much problem dealing with NVC and CIS already.

went there monday and my flight was tuesday and was told that their computer is down and wont be up til thursday. See how third world is that? to think that it isn't even rocket science to fix a computer and printer that prints the certification that I attended them so called "seminar" and one more thing.. how can a "seminar" be mandatory anyway?!? it's like a matter of you boarding out of the country or not. They don't respect the decision of US EMBASSY, CIS and NVC. Clearly, when you have a visa it means you already passed their through background check.. i just don't understand ####### it is a mandatory class?

Oh well.. all is done and I'm with my husband and living our lives happily and forgetting all the horror stories dealing with people from the government.
