Hey guys, i just wanted to let you know of my good news.

My receipt date for AOS and EAD was Nov 21st and i still cannot view my EAD online however today i got my biometrics appointment schedules for March 7th.

I read on here sometime ago that if the appointment notice has a code 2 then i should be able to get my AOS biometrics done on the same day. Is this true? If so, any proof i can take with me to pursuade the officer.

BTW my appointment is in St. Paul, MN if any of you were wondering.

Thanks for all your help so far on this journey and good luck to all !!!!

Congratulations:-)

I believe that code 3 is the one for the AOS - all 10 fingers plus certain fingers separately, plus a photograph. I have code 2 marked on the biometrics letter for my Employment Authorization and only got a single print and a photo done then. I asked what code 3 meant when I went for my last biometrics and was told 'the whole shebang, the works" by the immigration official at the desk. That was the code on my AOS letter.

I don't think there is anything you will be able to do to convince the officer to do other than what the appointment is for; the appointments are decided by different immigration officials than the ones doing the fingerprints. I asked once for information on how long it would take for processing after one of my biometrics and got the response"we just do the fingerprints; we don't make any of the decisions. That happens elsewhere" so I don't think you will have much success. Be patient, and hope it isn't too long - it has been 19 months for us so far and we are still waiting for my AOS.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
