My bf came from Canada in Nov with only a passport. We want to marry and wonder if the county court house will refuse to give us a license since he only has a Quebecc driver's license. Any comment?

I spoke with the Immigration service and they said that they would not send him back if we were already married. They sadid it didn't matter how long he has been here.

I am going to check on my county web site about marriage licenses now.

It really depends on your local requirements to obtain a license. If they won't accept the driver license, the passport will be plenty enough as a proof of ID.

I got my marriage license in Vermont, they didn't look to any ID. We went there, filled the form, and they gave the license. I had my birth certificate and passport with me, but they didn't ask anything. You may try to call them at clerk town and just ask.

07/07/2005 met online

05/04/2006 met real in Romania

2006-2008 traveling RO-USA-RO-USA

10/03/2008 came in USA on B2 tourist visa

01/17/2009 got married

03/25/2009 sent AOS (I-130;I-475;I-765)

04/03/2009 checks cashed

04/06/2009 NOA received for I-130,I-475,I-765

04/06/2009 Biometric Appointment letter received in mail

04/17/2009 Biometric Done

05/04/2009 NOA for Interview Appointment - scheduled for June 25 2009

05/15/2009 EAD card production ordered

05/21/2009 EAD received

06/01/2009 Applied for SSN

06/06/2009 SSN received

06/25/2009 Interview date - Approved!!!

07/09/2009 GREEN CARD received!!!

04/12/2011 Sent I-751

04/19/2011 NOA received for I-751

12/29/2011 GREEN CARD received

As Lili said it depends of your local county, when we went to get ours here in Dallas, they asked me for Birthday Certified since I show my passport as ID.

they told me that my passport was not enough proof.

02/23/09 - Interview date!!!----- APPROVED!!!

03/06/09 - Welcome letter in the mail.

03/13/09 - Green Card received in the mail!!

Removing Conditions

01/25/11 - Applied for I-751.

01/27/11 - I-797C, N.O.A issued

01/31/11 - Check cashed

02/04/11 - Received N.O.A

03/14/11 - Biometric appointment issued

03/19/11 - Biometric letter received in the mail

03/28/11 - Biometric appointment date.

06/24/11-Approval of ROC

06/27/11-Approval letter received

07/01/11- Green Card Received

We called, they asked for i-94 and a stamp in passport. I have non of these. According to this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I-94_(form) they don't give that anymore.
