Need Help with AOS forms

Hi everybody,

We`re finally filing for AOS, but need some clarifications with the forms:

I-130 :

- What is Alien Registration #? Do I just leave that field blank or put NONE?

- Is the i-94 # the printed number on the front of it?

- "Date authorized stay expired, or will expire, as shown on Form I-94 or I-95"? where do i find it? is it the same as my visa expiration date?

I-485 :

- Current USCIS status? we got married before my visa expired, which was in October. So do i write "out of status"? or J1 (the visa i came here on)?

- May sound stupid  but where exactly do i find my nonimmigrant visa number? how many digits is it?

And if we`re sending both i-130 and i-485 together, where do we send them? i got really confused reading the instructions...

Thanks a lot!!! Any advice would be great.

the A# can be found on your i-94. the date authorized to stay is stamped (or should be) on the i-94 in your passport. its not the same as the visa expiration. its normally given at the POE.

if your visa expired then you're out of status. until u file your aos. The visa number can be found on the Visa sticker on your passport page. The number can be 8 or more characters long, and in RED color, located towards the bottom right hand quarter of the Visa sticker. Be advised that the "Control Number" is not the Visa number.

If you arrived as a visitor, or student, more than likely you will NOT have an A#, USCIS assigns A# to persons who had someone petition for their visa through USCIS, so "NONE"

I-94# is the pre-printed number.

Stay expiration date will be noted on the I-94. IT IS NOT the VISA expiration date, unless the visa expires shortly after entry on the visa, then the I-94 may have same expiration date as the visa.

Current status "B2 Visa holder, F1 Visa holder" What visa did you use to enter the USA?

NON Immigrant visa number tends to be a red number on your visa.

Send everything to the Chicago PO box indicated by I-485.

Also include an I-765 for EAD, and I-131 for AP. I-765 and I-131 are based on pending I-485, I-765 has code (C )(9 ). They are included in the I-485 fee.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Handwritten...do you have letters instead?

AOS Approved on 10-17-08 (details in profile)

Removal of Conditions on 07-19-10

In this tedious process, we tend to forget that this is all worth it.

I love my hubby beyond anything in this world.
