I am waiting for an interview date in Montreal. I see on here that some people went alone, and others were accompanied by petitioner/fiance?

I was hoping he would come just for emotional support lol... will they even let him in the building?

As well, my 5 year old son is also listed on my petition and coming to the US with me. Will they require for a young child (5yr old), to be present at interview?

Just curious...

thnx

Fiance can come, not required. Children under 14 are not required to attend.

Children under 14 are not required to attend.

Are you sure? Where did you get this information from?

In Australia, children, regardless of age, who are applying for immigrant or derivative fiance visas must attend the interview. I don't see how this would be different in Canada

To the OP- I highly suggest you check this with the Embassy/Consulate. Not all the information that you read on here is correct..

Consulate specific.... What is OK in Kiev may not be OK in Montreal or Sydney

YMMV

Like I said, I suggest the OP checks with their own embassy/consulate as to their own rules
