I have read of biometric letters on simple copy paper, sometimes the ACS runs out of the bond paper and resorts to copy paper, this is normal, the bio letter is NOT an Notice Of Action.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

that's weird. never came across the copy-paper type notice but i guess with the uscis, nothing is unusual.

Hi Amy,

I cannot help you with the different papers. However, I had my biometrics last week. During the appointment, the technician told me there might be a problem with the fingerprints (I have no clue why precisely, since he was not very communicative). He told me he was sending them in but I might have to return at a later date.

Did something similar happen to you?

If so, then it might just have something to do with the quality of the prints they took (I would not worry yet, it is just annoying to have to go back).

Take care,

Cat

Fingerprints taken at USCIS goes to FBI for background checks. Once your biometrics is complete you can call the FBI to find out whether your fingerprint report has been sent back to the USCIS or not. They WILL NOT tell you whether your fingerprints were rejected or if anything negative was found, instead they will just tell you whether or not FBI has processed your biometrics. The number to call is: 304-625-5590 or 304-625-2406. They will ask for your Alien Registration #, so have that handy......We tried this a week after our biometrics and the FBI told us that our fingerprints were sent back to the USCIS a few days after the bio appointment.
