I am "visiting" for six months, per our agreement between Canada and USA. It is soooo wonderful. I am in my shorts and tee-shirt washing

the car in the driveway, +88(F). Just chatted with a friend in Alberta and it's still -20©. Sure wish I knew that we'll be approved soon and I

can continue to enjoy this weather for the rest of my life. :D

I guess that being here last year from May - October has helped me adjust. I feel that if it's too hot to work in the yard, which I love. Planting flowers, vegetables (we get to plant gardens twice a year here, OMG, in Alberta it's only late May till end of August), I just go in the house and clean, bake or whatever. Painting the interior right now. But as in Canada if it's too cold outside we go inside. Right now it's -26c and my friends/family have had enough of winter, lol. I keep telling them to come visit. I do love Texas - the geography is somewhat like Alberta.

If we don't get our approval by the end of June I'll have to go back to Alberta for the remainder of the year. lol my fiance has been to Alberta in November and April for a week at a time. This time I will have to introduce him to ice fishing in Northern Manitoba. lol for sure those memories will be Kodak moments. He is a south Texan forever.

I'm still trying to get my head around it being in the 20's (70's) during the day time just after the new year. I don't know Texas (am sure it's hot) but it can get up to and feel like the mid 40's.. 105 or there abouts. I'm sure I can't be anymore than a few degrees off! Trying to get better at converting everything from Fahrenheit to Celsius. The humidity here in Florida.. feels like I'm sucking in water with each gasp for air. After I first arrived it took a while to get use to it.. had to keep going back into the A/C just to catch a breath at times!
