Hi guys~

I am in process of K-3 Visa for my wife and I have NOA 2 for I-129F and I-130.

My wife is in South Korea currently. We have recieved Packet 3.5 for K-3 and She made an interview appoint.

Today, I have a recieved a letter from NVC. It is AOS(Affidavi os Support) Fee of $70 and in that letter I have a form called Choice of Address and Agent(DS-3032)

I am little bit confused here. I guess I have to pay the $70??? and I don't what to do with DS-3032??

Please Help me out here.

Thank You

The correspondence you got from NVC is for the CR1 processing. If you guys chose the k3 route, just ignore it. :)

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Thanks for quick response. :)

Is this normal to recieve this letter and the NVC case number on AOS Fee bill is different from the I-129F NVC Case number.

Just last 3-digit is different.

So bottom line is just ignore this letter since I am going K-3 Visa route, right???

Thanks again.

That's correct.

If I were you I'd forget the K3 and go with the CR-1 [i-130]. CR-1 are MUCH< MUCH better.

with the K-3, you will submit your Affadavit of Support, and DS-230 to the consulate a week or two before the interview. Your spouse will come to the States, and then have to apply for Adjustment of Status to get her greencard. Which in the long run turns out to be more expensive.

If you go the CR-1 route, you will submit your documents to NVC and once all the documents are submitted and reviewed you will get an interview date at the consulate. Once your spouse comes to the US, he or she will receive either a conditional or unconditional greencard, depending on how long you have been married on the date of entry into the US. If you get a conditional greencard, 90 days before the expiry of the conditional greencard you will submit a I-751 to remove the conditions.

Hope this helps.

I guess I have a decision to make.

I guss it will be depending on how much longer it will take NVC to process and forward it to consulate.

By failing to become informed earlier, you've effectively made the decision to take the K3 route. Taking the CR1 route now would likely result in about a three or four month delay. It didn't have to, but it will now.

I admitted I should've done a little bit more research. I guess at this moment CR1 is not a good option for me. Extra 3 or 4 months delay will be hard for me and my wife and thank you pushbrk

Thanks for quick response. :)

Is this normal to recieve this letter and the NVC case number on AOS Fee bill is different from the I-129F NVC Case number.

Just last 3-digit is different.

Yes, the 130(CR1) and the 129f(K3) get assigned two seperate case #'s :)
