Hi folks..we got an e mail stating that i will have my K3 interview on March 24 at chennai. They have asked us to consider the e mail as the appointment letter.Regarding the police certificate I have one from the police station covering my area of residence.Do I also have to get one from the district police station? Does it take a long time to get it? Has anyone had an experience with the chennai consulate?

You need to have the Police Clearance Certificate signed off by the District Police station. You will also need to get a passport clearance certificate from the Regional Passport Office in your area.

Interesting, my wife had to get the police clearance certificates before getting the Passport clearance.
