I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) was transferred and is now pending

Hi Guys,

We just received an email from the USCIS today (attached below)

We contacted USCIS (via phone) who confirmed it had been transferred, but could not confirm to which office.

Subsequently the customer service rep transferred the call to an officer who advised the same information, it was transferred, but could not confirm which office. Anybody else had experience of this? On average and from experience could this signify a delay?

Thought it strange they could not confirm the office it was transferred to. Is this just standard procedure? Any insight or previous experiences would be welcome.

Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Current Status: This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred.

The I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) was transferred and is now pending standard processing at a USCIS office. I had the same thing happen. we have the same time line and the same M. Hazuda signed for my packet also... I got that email on the 20th feb, i called in and they transfered me to a woman that said mine actually was not transfered but she secretly told me it was approved... so i checked the mail on the 25th cause the update didnt change and the NOA2 was in the mail. My online status still says the same thing about being transfered.

Since you sent the petition to Vermont - it's now on its way to California (presumably since it's the only other SC that processes them). Work load balancing it sounds like.

Thanks for replies.. I know I prefer the Tom and Carol option over transfers to other offices and waiting.

Where did you send it? Sounds like the usual letter sent when you send the package to the wrong address and then they forward it to the correct service center, one would hope...someday.

You should have sent it either to the Vermont or California Service Center depending on which state you live in, California handles some states, Vermont handles others. The instructions list where you are to send it based on the state you live in.

We sent it to the correct center for the state we reside in  Also just re-checked the instructions as a sanity check, all good.
