As far i know USCIS is not going to notify if your removal of conditon is due soon.

Yesterday i received a letter from VCS for my wife that said she is a conditional resident since 6/19/2007 and the letter is to remind us to remove conditions before it expires. I was very surprised to see this and wanted to share with all of you. Maybe this is something new they have started.

Anyway my question is i believe since the expiration date on her GC is 6/19/09 we can apply for removal of condition after 3/19/09. The reason i want to apply as soon as possible because we have an overseas trip in May/June and will be back in US by 7th of June 2009. Do you guys think we will be ok? I mean to my thinking we should get the extension letter and finger prints done within a month before we leave 21st May09. Please respond. Thanks

The reason why you should send in the I-751 90 days before it expires is so that you can at least have an NOA1 as proof that papers have been filed. If you think you'll be coming back after 06/19, then it would be a good idea to get another I-551 stamp on your wife's passport before you leave. But I'm pretty sure you will be ok with just the NAO1 of the I-751.

You can apply 90 days prior to the green card expiry so count back 90 days on the calendar and you will find the first day you are eligible to apply.

Ifan we got the same letter, they are now sending reminder letters. I think you should apply 90 days before, you probably will be able to get your extension letter in time.

We also got the same notice today, though it went to the old address???? I checked the AR-11 to make sure that I had filed it, yep, it has a confirmation code. Apparently they don't upgrade their systems when you file a change of address :bonk:

No longer in the hands of the USCIS, for my wife at least, next up MIL.
