Hi everyone! I just have to verify something. Does all the original paperwork (forms like I-129F etc and pics/emails) that I, the petitioner, had sent get returned to my fiance by the USE? I don't know if I am supposed to send the copies that I have to him there in the philippines.

Yes the originals should be returned at the interview but for you to avoid a problem at the time of the interview it is suggested to bring photocopies of all the documents to the interview as certain things have been know to get lost. Originals if you have copies of those is even better to have.

Nope. All that stuff stays with the file. Provide copies of anything you sent in to USCIS for the beneficiary to examine prior to the interview.

Thank you for your replies...in other words, for the forms ike I-129F, G-325A etc, my fiance should bring copies for his own reference really and not because the interviewers would ask him for them, right (since technically they already have them on file)?

USEM kept EVERYTHING of ours.

Local USCIS office kept EVERYTHING when doing AOS.

USCIS kept EVERYTHING when removing conditions also.

Bottomline is to backup EVERYTHING ALWAYS!!

Really? I never heard of anyone getting documents back that were sent in with the petition, we certainly didn't and that is why it is recommended to never send originals.

I would recommend that the beneficiary bring to the interview an ORIGINAL (not a copy) of the I-129F, the I-134, the G-325, the DS-156, etc.

Also, make sure to bring ORIGINAL receipts. For everything else, bring a copy.

I forgot to check a box on my I-129F. The Consul Officer required my fiancée to submit another ORIGINAL. Also, our Case Worker lost our I-134. He requested another ORIGINAL. Fortunately, when I talked to him, he agreed to accept a copy of our I-134, which my fiancée had with her.

Everything you sent to USCIS will not be returned. Make sure that you have copies of your documents.
