Me too!! I have not heard of them using a date from the DS-3032. I understood it was determined from your NVC "Case Completed" date.

OK. I am totally baffled. Did you already get notice from NVC that your entire file was complete and done? Or was it that you submitted everything and prematurely and without NVC's final blessing got an April interview date? We filed CR-1 and both petitioner/applicant submitted all required forms and documents. Are you saying we don't have to wait on NVC final word? Did you also contact NVC to get your interview date or the consular? Anxiously waiting for your reply!

You do not get an interview "without NVC's final blessing" From the department of State website:

For all Appointment Posts (except, the Consulate General in Guangzhou, China) the NVC will send an appointment letter to all interested parties (applicant, petitioner, and agent/attorney of record, if applicable) notifying them of the date, time, and location of the interview; and forward the petition to the appropriate embassy/consulate. The Consulate General in Guangzhou, China will send appointment letters for cases assigned to it.

This will only happen after your case is completed at NVC. If your consulate is an "Appointment Post" NVC will schedule the interview and you contact them for the date or alternatively you can wait for the letter. Most of us are not that patient.

It's exciting - but I think some people are jumping the gun here. Once the cases are complete normally NVC makes you wait until the 1st and 2nd weeks of the month when they will schedule all the interviews for the month after. They tell you to call at eh start of the 3rd week and they will have the dates for you.

Right now the people getting interviews have still gone through the whole NVC process and have a COMPLETED CASE. The only difference is instead of waiting to hear during/after the first 2 weeks of March they are getting the news early. You still have to go through everything and complete your case at NVC!

Congrats to all those getting April interview dates - at least the wait is not so hard knowing there is a date assigned!!

What type of visa did you apply for. For the "K" types NVC forwards the package to the Embassy which will schedule the interview. For the I-130 type visas it is NVC that schedules based off availability info from the Embassy. hope this answers your question.

I must have some blond on my head. I see others here..petitioner & applicant completed all their forms and document requirements and did not get any acknowledgement letter or email notice, but they called and got an interview date without a letter from NVS stated the case is complete, etc. The Embassy for my hubby is ABU DHABI and NVC makes the appointments and the Embassy also accepts and posts interview dates.

@@@ MMW, did u received letter from the US Embassy in regards to get your K-3 Interview? I am going to bypass that interview and not to worry about it due to the facts thast I have a CR1 Interviews already. this shouldn't hurt our case anyway, AFTER all I already PAID the NVC of $ 470.00. Are you going to not worry about ur K3 interview either.. i think its .99 cents poer mintue calling them for an appointment?

I read that someone called the NVC and cheked his timeline, it shows there that his NVC Completed a week earlier and got an appointment for the interview. Then I saw MMW, I know their case was completed on 26th and mine was the 25th so I figure it they got a date on April 30, then I should have one. So I called the LIVE OPERATOR in the morning and called again in the evening (27th FEB) and my Interview was scheduled on the 21st of APRIL in the morning. My CASE WAS COMPLETED ON THE 25TH FEB, 27TH FEB I ALREADY HAVE AN INTERVIEWS SET FOR ME. On top of that today I received a letter from Consulate to set an interview for my K3 in which I will disregard as I paid the $ 470.00 already for CR1. The mistake they made, the Consulate, is that the letter suppose to be sending to my wife in Manila then I get a copy. It was dated 12 FEB but I just now received it...oh well! So even they tell you to call 4-6 weeks later, it wont hurt to call the next day, all they can say is "NO". Then try again the next day...

i called march 2nd to us embassy philippines and got my fiances interview appt for april 7th was so worried because we was rescheduling it from march 10th glad there was open dates.
