yea, love to watch the man play. I've probably hit one Tiger like shot in my entire life :blink: He will certainly pull the ratings back up.

Alcohol is not your friend while you are trying to lose weight. Lots of 'empty' calories :(

Its an unwritten law, play golf, drink beer :P

:) One can't hurt but...well, you know, I am sure. Would be silly not to achieve progress with all the eating dietary changes you have made just because of a beer blow out each weekend. I wish you every success with this, I really do. Anyone who makes a commitment to better health through these kinds of changes is a hero :D

Small nitpick... 3500 calories = 1 pound.

I've also done the weight loss thing, and crept up a few lbs... I was at 287 at one point... I've been as low as 203 but I've crept back up to 225ish, I'd like to be down to 195 (which is where I think I'd have a visible six pack... which is the real goal).

I was at 292 on January 19th and proceeded to loose 22 pounds but now some of that is coming back and I think I might have cut too low on the calories. I know I am retaining water. Yesterday I upped my calorie intake from 1200 a day to about 1700 so will try that for a while.

The last time I lost 50 pounds but was several years younger and my matabolism was higher. It sucks getting old :angry:

:thumbs: calories are calories. 2,000 calories of fruits and veggies calculate the same as 2,000 calories worth of big macs. although the nutritional value of each is very different, they have the same impact on weight.

Sorta true.

Its not just weight impact but potential detrimental effects to metabolism and energy balance. Hence in that regard, they are not the same.

I tell you, it's not easy! I might let the wife drive to work in the morning. Let's see if my heart can take that!
