If my husband had the internet I would use Windows live or Skype. I feel your pain with the calling cards. I have a drawer full. And I started buying them online so now I have a folder full of receipts in Outlook. The calling cards are a huge rip off. thank god my husbands cell phone has free incoming calls

Yeah it can be expensive but you can use Skype.com that way it still give you the call logs because phone cards doesn't show that you are calling her or you don't get a call detailed record and now you will have to prove that you and your wife have some sort of communication, so try skype. :)

Try instant messenger on yahoo. you can talk like on a phone, just need a headset and a mic, and of course a computer. Saves a fortune on phone calls. Also try investing in a web camera, so you can see each other when you chat.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

i just went online and orderd majicjack. i think it should work fine. at least I can save my cell minutes and I don't have to wait until after 9pm. plus free phone calls in the US. I got rid of the house phone a while ago because it was so much money and no one hardly used it.

What ever you guys use be sure you can make copies of the bills or chats. Screen prints also.

Best to use a company like AT+T for short calls and chats for long ones. Chats can be faked easily. Phone records can't.

LOVE MY MAGICJACK!!!

Hubby & I both have it. For me to call him cost .31 cents a minute vs. .68 cents with my current cell carrier. However, he calls me for FREE anytime anyplace anywhere!!!

1st year is free and its $20.00 afterwards, pay for 5 years and its $60!!! I have saved soooooo much $$$$$$$.

Highly recommend it :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

if your wife has dsl/high speed internet try Magicjack.com it cost only 20.00 a year and she can call or you can call with no additional cost.

I heard they don't really rely on phone cards anyway. But who else would I be calling? I have the phone cards and I have my verizon bill showing the call made to the access number. I also buy calling cards online and save the receipts in my outlook folder. Also have the records of me calling the access number.

My cell also shows his calls to me.

I wonder if I can call Costa Rica with majicjack DIRECTLY? The calling cards end up being anywhere from 2.6 cents to 5 cents per minute because I call a cell line. HMMM I need to look that up.

We also choose a video chat by using gmail chat, don't even need Skype.

So we able to see each other every Morning and every Evening

Hmmmmm, I wonder if we can get the call logs from MSN?? My husband and I use the video call feature on there w/ webcam. So we see and hear each other and use it up to 4 hrs or more per day so it saves us a lot of money. Last year though he didn't have a pc at home and we spent thousands of dollars on phone bills/phone cards. So buying the pc for him was the best thing we did!

how do you figure?

JOseph, I was spending at least 5 bucks a day on calling cards and we had to go on a budget

THANK GOD for yahoo chat and emails :) one minute is 53 cents from my landline and 2.60/min from the cell. my husband gets free incoming calls though, which helps

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!
