visa delivered ! spelling error on Immigrant Data Summary

My wife recieved Delivery of her immigrant visa , CR-1 Visa.

Attached to the sealed envelope is a page titled Immagrant Data Summary.

All of the information is correct except my first name is mis-spelled Wuilliam , Instead of William.

This is in the section labled Final Address... listing ,first My Name and then My Address here in the US.

Got travel arranged for march 4th in the morning.

visa delivered after phone hours so i dont know what official answer is on this error.

But the packet does have another page with bold red warnings , including errors noticed...

Boy i sure hope this can be cured by a stop off at the embassy.

Anyone have any ideas about this :blink:

Receive IV Bill : 2008-10-31

Pay IV Bill : 2008-11-3

11-21-2008. nvc operator says papers in system as of 11-17-2008 pending 2 to 4 week review

11-23-2008 nvc sends request for nbi clearance not just the local police clearance. found out from call on 12-1-2008

12-15-2008 case complete but interview date will be after january and is not set yet

1-4-2009 Interview is scheduled for Feb 13th

Yes, it can be cured by taking the package back to the Embassy. They'll then tell you how long it will take to correct the error and/or whether correcting it is critical.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

callled today and was informed that the error was just on the data sheet and did not affect or carry over to any pertinant papers in the visa package, this was confirmed by the call center attendant.

peace and good luck to everyone seeking to be reunited with their spouses.
