So its been 6 months since I sent in my I-130/I29F application to CSC..I haven't heard anything..Can I call them? The processing time is supposed to be 6 months for CSC............I had several touches last month but that was it.....

Anyone have any advice on what I can do besides waiting?

thanks

I am surprised that your applications are taking so long to be approved at CSC. Maybe you are stuck in some kind of background check. In any case you won't be able to do much about it until your case is at least 30 days past the official timeline. After that you can call USCIS and request a review of your case (hopefully the official processing times won't go back by then putting your case within the normal timeline).

I agree with RooDee there is a strong chance they you are experiencing a delay, because they are doing additional background checks. You should see an approval soon. You can call USCIS and see if you can get someone to tell you what is going on.

You should call USCIS and follow the prompts for "is you believe your case is outside normal processing times" ask for an expedite and if they say you need to wait another 30 days..ask for an inquiry.

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

YEAH HOW DO U EVEN KNOW WHERE IT IS IN THE PROCESS?????? GOOD QUESTION,

my has only one touch and that is it since I sent it in....

but like someone else said, this waiting period might not even be a processing time delay, rather a waiting in que delay, just waiting in line to be process ....

so how would u know where it is.. all I'm saying I better get something or else, me go bananas!!!!
