We have my fiance’s 2005, 2006 and 2007 tax transcripts, W-2’s, employment letter, and paystubs accompanying the I-134. Will just the W-2 from 2008 work since we don’t have the 2008 tax transcripts?

Sounds good to me. My finacee took the same but I also sent her a letter from my bank as requested in the I-134 instructions and also the past years pay stubs. She had no problem. Good luck.

Make a copy of your completed 2008 return. Photocopies are just as good as transcripts.

The 2008 taxes should not be required until after April 15th, but if you have them it will not hurt to take them along. Especially, if they are above the poverty guidelines.

It might be a good idea to take with you another original I-134. Have your fiancee fill it out and sign it. This is just in case the Embassy loses the original copy that you submit to them at the time of your interview...like what happened to us. They actually called and asked for another original copy!

It would be a good idea to always have an extra copy of all the I-134 supporting documents like the tax transcripts, the tax return, the W-2, the paycheck stubs, and the employer's letter...they lost these too!

Other than losing our documents, the actual interview was easy. My fiancée interviewed with the Princess Di look-alike, and she was very pleasant. She asked my fiancée about 15 questions (a few of them twice!).

Good luck with your interview...

Thanks so much for all that info. It's very helpful. Now, we're making sure to have an extra copy of the I-134 and all the supporting docs. I am sure you'll fiance will get her visa soon. I can imagine how great that must feel once she receives it. Congratulations in advance! Our best wishes for your life together in the US! God bless!

Those will be fine, but one thing we didn't have and she was asked about was a letter from my employer. I didnt get one but she passed anyway, it may depend on the interviewer. Always better to be safe than sorry or else be calm if you get delayed. Basically you're trying to convince them you are being honest and that the relationship is real

The pre-screener did not ask my fiancée for my employment letter...and neither did the Consul Officer.

Here is the list of my financial documents that my fiancée gave to the pre-screener:

> I-134

> 2008 Income Tax return

> 2008 W-2 Form

> 2007 IRS Tax Transcript

> Five months of recent paycheck stubs

By the way...this is the exact list of documents that our Case Worker lost.
