On other member's timlines people have sent an I 129 form, however I believe I only have sent the I 130. Will they send me a letter saying I have to mail the I 129? I have only done the petition so far at the California service center and it's been about a month. Do you think it's possible my hubby comes to US the middle of Sept.? Thanks soo much and I feel fo all of you who are missing their spouses...I've been living with 5 years long distance and I've had enough!

You don't see any I-129 forms in timelines on this board. You will see I-129F though. There's lots to read and learn. If you filed an I-130, I would just stick with that and take the resulting CR1 visa route. Start by reading the guides here. Just click on the word guides at the top of any page.

sorry another question. Does my husband have to sign it?

"G-325A (all four pages) filled out by the foreign fiance(e) signed and dated"

Does he have to fill it out, sign it, and send it to me?

waiting,

you dont HAVE to send the 129. If you def want the k3, you can..but you are currently following the cr1 path with the 130 submission.

you are lucky to be at the california servie center and you guys will probably sail through in no time

Yes, your husband needs to sign the g325a.

check out the guides atthe top of the page and you'll see it all step by step

welcome to VJ :)

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

No! No! No! That's not what I said. If you want an immigrant visa DO NOT file an I-129F for spouse. Just DON'T do it!

if you file for both the I-130 and I-129F and both of the petition gets approved, do you get to choose which one you want to go with? or will uscis pick which ever one gets approved first and you're stuck with that one? i just summit my I-130 form and now im thinking of summiting a I-129F. i know about the 2 years thing, i dont really care about it or saving about $800 going the I-130 route. which ever is faster is better for me. it sucks being without your love ones.

The current procedure is to approve both petitions together. You then may simply ignore the one you don't want. There is no assurance the K3 will be any faster, but there is assurance it will be more expensive, require additional filings after entry and the spouse will arrive without work authorization. Very little on the plus side anymore for most people and plenty on the minus side.
