Hello,

My fiance and I decided to get married in the States and to file for a K1 visa. I am from Romania, he is an American citizen, captain in the Army, and we have been together since May 2005. We have proof of our relationship (pictures, tickets, boarding passes, letters, emails, official invitation letters, hotel reservations), we don't have any problems like previous convictions or anything that might raise an eyebrow.

The only thing is that in 2008 I stayed in the US for 10 months (4 on one trip, 6 on the other). When I came in again in 2009, the officers at the port of entry of Seattle wanted to deny my admission in the States due to my overstaying, but they decided on giving me a 1 month parole on my I-94, so I could still see my fiance and we could file for K1.

Besides the problem I just mentioned, we have nothing else to fear. Do you guys think that I will have my K1 denied due to that?

We're filing at the California center and I'm a little worried over the long time we'd have to wait. Hopefully it'll all be resolved within 6 months so I can come back to my fiance and finally get married and live happily ever after :)

That's my story, nice o join this wonderful community :)

no worries on that issue.... welcome to vj

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.
