Another TSC case transferred from VSC to CSC!

Well, we got our transfer notice today that my case was sent from VSC to CSC. Though I live in Florida, and the TSC should have handled my case, when I filled back in July, I was able to send my case directly to the VSC. At the time I thought that would be a good thing.... WRONG!!!

For our AOS, our case was transferred to CSC and we were approved without any interview or problems. I certainly hope it will be the same for "Removing Conditions".

My only concern now is how long it will take CSC to process the transfer cases. Had we stayed at VSC, I was expecting another 4 month wait.

I guess once we start seeing approvals from CSC on the transfers, we'll get an idea of how long it is going to take.

Thank you USCIS for at least attempting to speed things up. I hope this is yet another positive change we can see from the new Obama administration.

Robert

Transferring to CSC is a good thing

Not entirely sure about that statement... We have been waiting for 8 months already, and it has not been clarified if CSC will put the transferred files at the bottom of their piles as if we had just sent them, or if they are somehow going to prioritize...

Processing times says it is 6 months, I know that they are taking a bit less with certain cases, but I can't help but think that to them, our files just arrived in February....

Hmmmmm.......

Shipping off cases with July NOA dates already?

I don't think they would be lurching that far ahead if there wasn't reason to believe they could meet appropriate deadlines.

IMO the goal for all I751's (unofficially) is to have the 10 year card to the recepient within a year. In other words, before they have to stamp the passport with I551.

Well........LOL..........that's what I'm kinda hoping!

I believe that if you look at the evidence, it appears VSC was at least attempting to hit the one year mark. There must have been some indication they were falling so far behind that his goal could not be met.

Sending petitions over to CSC may not make our processes go any faster. But at least it may get them done before the extension letter expires.

I hope.

That is my hope too... It would be nice if they told us how are they planning to deal with the transfers.... I am not asking that they prioritize us over those who sent it in later, but it'd be nice to know where we are standing....

Ah well... sit and wait....

I say contact your congressman and demand a transfer to the NSC. It would be a shame to have your app not complete the tour now.

He should have sent a lawn gnome with his petition and asked them to send him pictures.

Hello all.

We also received an email saying that ours was transfered on the 25th to CSC. If I recall, last I checked it was about a 5-6 month wait and yes, it does say about a 6 month wait for CSC. Oh well, hope it all works out.

10Yr GC arrived 07/02/09 - Naturalization is next

The drama begins - again!

And now the drama ends - they took the Green card . . .

Just wanted to add, the official goal is to process Removal of Conditions apps in 6 months... (See this link, from December: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...0045f3d6a1RCRD).

The transfers are a way to achieve that 6-month processing goal.

And they are starting to approve the recent transfers so it's a good thing indeed. CSC is amazing at spitting out those approvals in record time.

I just wished they started the CSC transfers with us April and May filers instead of jumping ahead to June filers. *sigh*

Well, hope we all get approved in the near future!

That's a really interesting link - thanks for that!

Look further down the chart and see how far off-target they are for family-based adjustment of status - average processing time 14.7 months!

I wonder if there is year-date error in the second column title (Current Processing Time National Avg as of

Dec. 1, 2009). I wonder if that should read December 1, 2008?
