Yeah...and when Hugley, Chris Rock, and Chapell make race jokes and/or skits they should be blackballed from ever working again. Anywhere! Starve them out. That will teach them some manners.

It worked for Stalin.

What racially insensitive jokes would that be that be? I'd like to think back to times when African Americans had an upper hand in this country but you know what? Only an a$hole would remember that as being real. Last I heard... they weren't using racism to get a laugh like this dumba$ tried (and failed).

It is rather odd how some get upset that GWB gets called Dubya for being what he is and then the same folks laugh it up in good cheer when obvious tasteless racial epithets get tossed around jokingly.

I find that a little hypocritical. Don't you?

I laugh at "Dubya" jokes too! I think George does as well.

He probably does since apparently his friends call him that. Then I wonder why being selective with the outrage of PC in the other thread then. I suppose it has something to do with dodging the actual issue.

What issue? Some of us laugh at any thing that strikes us as funny, or clever, without consulting the PC manual to determine if it is correct to do so.

Right. I guess that's why some people need refreshers on historical, cultural, racial, and common sensitivity. Because the dumba$$ part of their brain acts before the sensible part.

The issue was in the other thread. No need to mix threads.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

I haven't either - it wasn't a stereotype that was applied to blacks in the UK, but living in this country now I can hardly plead ignorance of the context as it applies to this country. Neither can you or anyone else.

Its surely common sense to know what is appropriate and what isn't.

Now that you mention it I'm rather surprised that the "evil banking jews" stereotype hasn't been rolled out in response to the government bailout.

That comment in the other thread was tongue in cheek. The contradiction was not on my part, but on the part of the PC crowd. Or, do you just consider that an unresolved paradox?

Perhaps its correct. Maybe the 'joke' would have been a little more appropriate with pineapples since Obama was born in HI. Or to keep it within the racially idiotic landscape... plant some cotton on that lawn instead of watermelons.

If this was the 1960s... it would be Communist banking Jews.

Bad taste is bad taste.

At least the guy had the sense to apologise for it.

Yep... too bad some still don't get it that bad taste is not good.

Now you are over-#######-izing again. If you have to think about the alleged joke, then you are wasting your time.

So, you are not a fan of popular humor, I take it? Monty Python? Saturday Night Live? Fox News? Morning Joe?

Some comedy has good taste... and some has bad taste.

You need to think more and react less.

Racism is what it is.

Yeah - but in fairness what are you laughing at? Because its expected? Some sort of reflex action?

Would you laugh out loud at any random image?

Point is - you are clearly finding humour in something, whether you choose to admit it or not.

So you want that discussion? How we deal with racism? Didn't your mommy ever tell you what to say, when the kid down the block called you a name, "Stick and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me?"

What's populist about the humour implied by the image?
