Its amazing how quickly people throw away their vaunted principles when it comes to a matter of NIMBY.

NIMBY sucks

May 7,2007-USCIS received I-129f
July 24,2007-NOA1 was received
April 21,2008-K-1 visa denied.
June 3,2008-waiver filed at US Consalate in Panama
The interview went well, they told him it will take another 6 months for them to adjudicate the waiver
March 3,2009-US Consulate claims they have no record of our December visit, nor Manuel's interview
March 27,2009-Manuel returned to the consulate for another interrogation(because they forgot about December's interview),and they were really rude !
April 3,2009-US Counsalate asks for more court documents that no longer exist !
June 1,2009-Manuel and I go back to the US consalate AGAIN to give them a letter from the court in Colon along with documents I already gave them last year.I was surprised to see they had two thick files for his case !

Shoot em, I bet that will slow down the boarder crossings

random land mines.

Land mines are illegal. Naughty, naughty!

The GAU-8/A, a 30mm rotary cannon they stick in the nose of the A10 Warthog, with a cyclic rate of 3,900 rounds per minute, is, however, perfectly legal. It's just a little bit big for the job. Oh well, they do say bigger is better.

or a vulcan, 20mm

Land mines are controversial because they remain dangerous after the conflict in which they were deployed, killing and injuring civilians and rendering land impassable and unusable for decades. The International Campaign to Ban Landmines has sought to prohibit their use, culminating in the 1997 Convention on the Prohibition of the Use, Stockpiling, Production and Transfer of Anti-Personnel Mines and on their Destruction, known informally as the Ottawa Treaty. As of 2007, a total of 158 nations have agreed to the treaty. Thirty-seven countries have not agreed to the ban, including China, India, Israel, Pakistan, Russia and the United States.

yet effective.

No,it's messed up ! Look at all the people around the world who have been victims of land mines.

It certainly is strange to talk the best ways of killing people crossing the border.

Why would any intelligent person want to kill other people?

Strange and scary

Doesn't bother me if illegals get killed on the border they get what they deserve. Our state cant handle anymore illegals we are broke stay out.

My state is broke also because of crooked politicians misappropriating money.

Wow! four pages of diatribe against the sadistic, murder-minded, illegal-hating Nimbys.

For those who care in the slightest, I picked the most ridiculously over-the-top weapon I could think of, just to provoke a response. The gun on an A10 is designed to kill tanks, not people. But it certainly did what it was intended here. Instead of commenting about the subject of the post, people just fell into line about the proposed "abuse of illegal aliens' human rights" and how some people are evil for even considering taking action about this situation. Sad really that VJ doesn't have an automatic sarcasm button.

For anyone who might still be interested, I oppose general gun ownership by private citizens. The Second Amendment was set out in the 18th Century to cover a "well-regulated militia", if I understand correctly. The general population of the US in no way corresponds to "well-regulated", although they can be downright militant at times.

Judge if you want, but illegal aliens, their sponsors, employers and supporters need to understand that there are legal ways to enter the country. At some point, proper enforcement of the laws will occur and all their bleeding-heart claims of discrimination, disregard of human rights and economic value will fall on deaf ears and turned backs. That day cannot come soon enough for me.

Don't interrupt me when I'm talking to myself

One of my closest friends came here illegally fromMexico as a child, then was given amnesty in the 1980's. Even she understands the frustration and animosity that arises from not only catering to illegals, but the nerve that illegals and their advocates have to demand that we cater to them and pay for their trespasses. I worked as a human rights activist for more than 2 decades, and I can tell you that human rights aren't free. I'm more inclined to support the human rights of those here legally. I can't stand willful illegals and have no sympathy for them at all.
