I am going to fill this on line. Do I have to actually upload a photo?

And my son is also applying with me and listed on the 134/K1... do I fill out separate ds-160's for each of us, or just me?

I did my DS-160 online, it does let you continue without a picture and send it off. I did it. It just tells you at the end to print off a form and attach your picture to it and bring it with you to your interview.
