Yup. And remember you can call DOS 5 times a day and get 5 different answers depending on who you talk to.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Oh boy do i remember those emails from the Embassy. It means you will be waiting on A/P. As the others stated just try to be patient i know its really hard but i would email them at least 2 times a month to see what is going on and get updates on your case. Cairo unless they have changed is known to be slower than most Embassy's . I pray that you will get your Visa soon. Hang in there its on its way!

its what the congressman office told us after they sent and email to the embassy

When I emailed the Embassy shortly after his interview to check on it, below is what they told me:

“Dear Congressman :

I am writing in reference to your e-mail message dated January 16, 2009, concerning the non-immigrant (fiancé) visa application of Mr. xxxx, the fiancé of your constituent, Ms. xxxx, case number xxxxx. I apologize for the delay in responding to your inquiry.

Mr. x’s application is currently undergoing required administrative processing. The time needed to review individual cases is difficult to predict. Visa applicants affected by these procedures are informed of the need for additional processing at the time of interview. As soon as the processing is complete, we will contact Mr. xxx to notify him of the next step in his case.

I hope this information is helpful in responding to your constituent’s inquiry.”

I have checked with my liaison in Atlanta to see if she could tell me anything more after receiving your email, but unfortunately she can’t check on it at this point. We will have to wait on the Embassy to get back in touch with xxx and let him know further status. I will however email back to the Embassy after giving them sufficient time to work on this and keep you posted.

I’m sorry I don’t have more information to give you! But I will keep a check on it.

Thanks!

its what the women at the congresman office told us after she emaild the embassy

Well this is good because at least you know that they are working on your case. I wrote to my Senator about 3 times but only after my husband had been on A/P for more than 9 months. I would write to my Senator about 1 time a month for 3 months and it really did help our case everyone's case is different but i can say that contacting my Senator did help. If i were you i would write a letter to my Senator about 1 time a month i do think it will help. As before i will be praying for you. Everything will be ok!
