K1 '07 filer here, constantly being taunted by my folks in the UK of good proper bacon, proper 'Chips' not bloody toothpicks! Battered sausages (because our neck of the woods think I'm nuts in any place I tell Paul I wont eat because they looked at me funny for asking) and bread thats not going to give me a sugar high.

I've been making rock cakes and no one but Paul and his Mum, she's British too! (oh how I miss people spelling that one right) will touch them and just give them the what the heck is that look haha, I love being here, dont get me wrong but almost 9 months without my English fix is getting me angsty haha.

although I'm getting used to weird food habits of some of the crazies round here, never knew chese tasted so good dipped in chocolate, and conventions can be fun when plotting evil things around Paul's ex gf the witch Queen especially when it's a dr who con with lots and lots of British fans in one hotel, plus guests like Gareth David-Lloyd and Kai Owen My Valentines day was awesome getting hugs from the Torchwood boys and Gareth signing my drawing of him), and we had rain that day, still not used to horizontal rain and still laughed at everyone running to avoid it.... more like a sprinkler haha :D

Its approaching two years for me also. I was bored this morning and started filling out my I751 then thought...I have three more months....why am I doing this now? I guess I must miss those 10 months of fretting over my AOS, checking USCIS everyday, on Visa Journey every day, opening the mailbox with anticipation and closing it with disappointment. It gave my life meaning.

On the other hand, its great here and have no plans to live in the UK again. I agree about the winters, especially here in New York. My first winter here I had no understanding of what 0 F meant. -17C is the answer and frickin cold...it felt like a burning sensation it was so cold. I joined a footie team in the March of 2007 and showed up to the first game straight from work with only shorts and tshirt in my bag. I soon put my work shirt back on under the team jersey, then put my hat on and scarf and gloves. I wanted my long woolen coat too but it would have severely hampered my performance. I may move to SoCal too in the near future!!!!

K-1 Visa Journey

04/20/2006 - file our I-129f.

09/14/2006 - US Embassy interview. Ask Lauren to marry me again, just to make sure. Says Yes. Phew!

10/02/2006 - Fly to New York, EAD at JFK, I'm in!!

10/14/2006 - Married! The perfect wedding day.

AOS Journey

10/23/2006 - AOS and EAD filed

05/29/2007 - RFE (lost medical)

08/02/2007 - RFE received back at CSC

08/10/2007 - Card Production ordered

08/17/2007 - Green Card Arrives

Removing Conditions

05/08/2009 - I-751 Mailed

05/13/2009 - NOA1

09/24/2009 - Approved (twice)

10/10/2009 - Card Production Ordered

10/13/2009 - Card Production Ordered (Again?)

I just noticed your AOS approval date -- 2 days before we entered on a CR1 so we will be lifting conditions at the same time! Wanna obsess together?

Well, yesterday was my first day back at work after my medical leave. By the time 10pm rolled around i was exhausted, my back hurt, my feet hurt like hell, i couldnt even get my work clothes off last night, Dane kept laughing at me, struggling to get into bed last night. I just wanted to bang him on the chin.

Today, i gotta do the whole thing all over again. I'm sure i'll ache all over again tonight.

Separated!!

Ha ha! We can have the May I-751 filers thread then and NO ONE else will be allowed to post therein. Or I will biff them on the nose.

I'll abuse my POWERZ and make their posts invisible!

Mwahahahahahahahahaha!

*coughs*

Maybe not.

I will abuse my new organizer powers and start threads about May filers being the most awesomest I-751 filers and then move them to random forums, like IMBRA and Bringing Family Members of PRs to America. 'Cause I'm sneaky like that.
