They can't make a service request for AOS after 6 monthes

I just called USCIS this morning to make a service request about my case AOS(k3) , they said it's not possible, because the Baltimore district office ,the time frame is april 2008, I saw a lot of people they get approved and they filed in august ,septembre....etc I don't understand anything. Can somone help about this.thanks.

I hope your infopass appointment goes better than ours did. The guy told us it is taking 18-24 months to get a green card. I tried to explain we were adjusting from K-1 etc etc and most were receiving green cards in 6 months or less. He repeated the 18-24 month thing, and then I told him he was wrong. He asked me if I thought I knew more about immigration than him, and then it got really ugly. I eventually talked with the supervisor who was equally clueless, but I did get her to send off a service request although she told me it wouldn't help becasue it is taking 18-24 months to get a green card....

I left out some of the better details about the name calling and such, but it was really bad. When I started to write down this first guys name, he saw me and just went off.

A few weeks we got a letter about our interview.

Contact your local congress person and they can call and get info on your case for you. Explain to them how long its been and they will help you.

some people have taken 3 years to get green card...
