I got an email saying that they mailed me on 14th July. It is 17th today and i have not received it yet.

Just wonder if this is just because they deliver via pigeon or from America somewhere or what.

Mine was sent to the choice of agent (my USC hubby) from the consulate.......I nearly died lol He then had to send it all the way back here to Oz. How stupid is that  Im not 100% but I think euro (amanda) had same thing happen. It seems to be the norm from many consulates for CR-1, but not all.

 Or they use Royal mail?

Maybe it is similiar to the updates they give at the NVC, they tell you the form is mailed when really it is put in a stack waiting for the next lot to be mailed out. Hope you get it by Monday.

So if your spouse is in Taiwan and she assigns you as her agent the embassy in Taiwan gets the Packet 4 and mails it all the way back to the US, which takes 2-3 weeks, then you have to sign it and return it to Taiwan? I suppose this a good case for hving a foreign spouse declare herself the agent. Are there other packets though which go out from NVC to the agent which would take longer to go to Taiwan than to the USC?

I-130...CR-1

02/27/06 Filed CR-1, I-130 thru TSC

07/26/06 NVC assigns case #, Wife e-mails choice of agent to NVC

04/06/07 Received CR-1 visa

Pack 4 is just the interview date-medical info, this is the way its dont in England, they send it to the UKC not the USC, as for Taiwan i dont know!!

the papers from the NVC that will need to filled out by your spouse are-DS-3032 agent form, & DS-230part 1, so you could get your spouse to have these done & mailed back to you for when they are needed
