I notice the DS-230 form cannot be saved when entering information. Has anyone found, or does anyone have, the form where you can type in information and save it to your computer?

No, I haven't come across such a form. I know how frustrating it can get. The only thing I can think of is type your answers to each question in a word document, that way you can save your answers and not have to type them over, and when it comes time to print the form, just copy paste all the answers into the appropriate slot. They really should have made the DS230 saveable.

My husband was able to save it. I think he used Adobe professional but I will ask him.

I was able to do that with the form downloaded from the website it opened as a PDF with adobe

thanks everyone. the one on the US website is the same as the one here, you can of course print the form, but you can't save.

I guess if I want to save i will need to get the full version of Adobe Acrobat. Been wanting it anyways, LOL.

I was able to fill in the form, save it and email it to my wife. I used Adobe Professional, and it was not an issue.

BTW..it appears that the Department of State has posted an updated DS-230, so if you have just started filling yours out, I suggest you use the newer version.

It has some cleaned up formatting and a modification to question 33.

I use Acrobat standard 7.0. I was able to download and save the newest version of the form, but all information I entered was lost. But I'm able to open it in Acrobat and edit and save new information

some one posted on this subject. You can down load a service called "foxit reader". It does work sometimes, but also has some drawbacks. One time it let me put everything in and another time it abbreviated things a little. Can not use the check marks. So give it a try. It's free.
