Hi just wanted to pick your brains. I have my interview on Monday and wanted to know if its crucial that i wear my wedding ring. I'm almost 37 wks pregnant and cant get the damn thing on due to swollen fingers. I can go out and buy a new one but could really do with out that due to baby expenses.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Could you wear it on a chain around your neck, and somehow slip it in that it doesn't fit on your fingers due to puffiness?

Good luck with both the interview and your forthcoming bundle of joy!

I wouldn't worry about it too much.

If the subject comes up, just explain why you are unable to wear it now.

Just point to your belly. Methinks that's proof of a relationship.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Why'd you take it off to begin with?

Does this mean you haven't actually worn it since before your pregnancy, but b/c of the interview coming up soon, you're now worried about it being an issue though?

Dmartmar, just because your marriage broke down and you feel cheated, doesn't mean every other immigrant on this forum is out to screw their USC spouse. Take your bitterness somewhere else. Get some counseling. Do something constructive. If you're like this in real life, you're never going to find another woman to have a relationship with, let alone marry.

hcj,

lol.

Anyhoo, yes wear it around your neck. I would hate to imagine what it would feel like if you had left it on while it was swelling. Ouch!

that reminds, i forgot to put my ring on today ... i wonder if my wife will notice it sitting on the nightstand. :diablo:

Believe me... the adjudicator will look to see if its there. I would find an alternative way to wear it... around your neck sounds nice. Just make sure its tucked out of your shirt when you go in to see the adjudicator.

I'm not bitter, nor do I feel cheated. I'm way past that and over it already.

But when I got married, my 1st time ever at that, it never ever crossed my mind taking my wedding ring off for whatever reason, be it justified or not.

And when/if I get married again (I do intend do so again), I won't take it off either, regardless of the circumstance(s).

Working In a hospital I have seen women having have their rings cut off or lose a finger, because of swelling during pregancy.

Good thing you did not wear it or it may have been ruined.

DO the neckless thing it will work,

Goood Luck
