I think we finally have good news. :P My fiancee said all the papers were correct and they didn't say anything about needing more documents. She never asked if she was approved like i told her she should, so i hope she did get approved. She told me she got a pink slip and payed Delbros, so i'm thinking she did.:thumbs: Going to get the full details tonight :D She went in at 6;30am and didn't get out until after 2pm i think :( She said she was interviewed by a big american female hehe.

I wonder how long it will take to send the visa to Bohol. Also hope the plane tickets aren't all sold out for mid-Sept.

Thanks for the interest in our case for those who sent us E-mails.

Hi,

I was wondering about required documents needed at the interview in Manila. Specifically my filipina sweety's birth cert. and our marriage licence from marrying in Cebu.

This is for a I-130 visa.

I have an NSO certified birth certificate and and NSO marriage certificate that I will submit to NVC during that process.

But I'm wondering if since they will already have the NSO cert. of those, if my sweety still needs to bring NSO BC & MC to interview or if she can just bring photo copies.

Thanks alot,

Mike

I would leave nothing to chance. My wife will have originals of both. We will also fill out all documents again, originals.

  1. My BC
  2. My divorce decree
  3. Updated letter from my employer
  4. Original W-2's and ITR's (tax transcripts)
  5. Proof of relationship - pictures, ATM receipts, my wife's name on my (our) bank account
  6. Updated I-864, affidavit of support
  7. Updated G-325A bio forms

That's all off the top of my head.

Hi all! Need some advice...

how did you answer the questions below?

for DS-156:

22. When Do You Intend To Arrive In The U.S.? (Provide specific date if known)

and DS-157:

18. Have You Made Specific Travel Arrangements? If YES, please provide a complete itinerary for your travel, including arrival/departure dates, flight information, specific location you will visit, and a point of contact at each location

Say I already have a booking, is it okay to write it there?

I know the US embassy's advice is not to make travel plans unless you have your visa but my fiance booked a flight already but made sure there is enough time from the interview date to the flight date.

We put specific dates since we already had tickets. It ended up taking longer than we expected to get the visa and the dates/tickets had to be changed. We had allowed for 10 days after the interview.

Sillygirl,

Sorry I wasn't able to reply last week I'm terribly busy tying some loose ends in the office and packing up my stuff. The night before my flight I need to do some last minute repacking because my Uncle told me that the box of my wedding gown will not be allowed as my hand carry, so I transferred it in my luggage (bummer!). Anyway, I'm already here. I got here Friday afternoon. Yesterday I did some drive test.. trying to get used to with the traffic rules and regulation... I started cooking my own rice yesterday too my mom must be proud of me :P . It turn out good  . Anyway, catch up with you later... gtg.

It's great to hear from the old-timers. We're glad you're still lurking and posting every now and then.

Updated to add visa receipt date of sweety33 and to congratulate Windchaser. You finally did it, Wind!

You are the last one of my contemporaries, Wind. Time is passing me by :clock::cry: Time to get myself a crochet book and a rocking chair. I think I'm gonna end up an old maid with the way things are at USCIS and the embassy

. I think I'm gonna end up an old maid with the way things are at USCIS and the embassy

dont worry about it patiently waiting, you are luckier than me coz i have been waiting since feb of 2002 hubby filed and I-130 for me since he was still a legal permanent resident at that time until now i am still waiting for an available appointment for my interview, its been almost 5 years , seeing your hubby only 3weeks in a year is really hard. Families should be kept together not apart.
