Updated Elizabeth's timeline. Gee, Elizabeth, I think you have the fastest approval among the Manila beneficiaries ~ 12 days from NOA1! Vermont rocks! And less than a month from filing the petition, your case is now in Manila. Wow! If all the USCIS service centers were like Vermont, the public would not be bashing their government.

Yeah we were also surprised by that timeline but it's all by God's grace. Well i guess it's time for us to be together we've been int his relationship more than three years and we went thru a lot of things.The stress of long distance relationship and part I believe of growing up!huh!:-) Neeway we were really praying and believing that God is giving us favor even this visa process. WE are really surprised but as well happy for the turn around of events but at the same time I really feel for those couples who are still awiting for the approval up until now. I can only wish you guys speedy approval.

Well to tell you guys we applied before but never got a result even NOA1 so we reapplied on March and at the middle of the process we broke up so we didn't send the rfe information back to the service center (case abandoned) , and just got back together first week of July 2006 and on August 1 sent our petition. IT's really by God's grace!!!:-) whew!! What a journey it is with the visa journey!!hahahha!!!But the good thing is well that end's well!!;-)

I just have a question,, i don't know if this is the proper forum but i posted this question on some other forums but I guess not too much Filipinas are going there.. :-) Anybody there who is an CPA here in the Philippines and went to the US?? Any experience looking for a job??? Well just quite jittery on this.. hehhehe!! Is it hard to find a job there?? I mean I know I won't be able to use that title when I get there but anybody out there who has the same profession that can give a piece of advice?? :-) thanks!! Oh by the way I've been working for almost 6 years now and I have 4 year experience working in an international NGO (WOrld Vision) here in the Philippines as an accountant and currently I am working here in Makati ( a consultancy firm HO is in Tokyo Japan) handling projects funded by Asian Dev Bank, WOrld Bank and JBIC..

How long did it take to receive your visa?

I'm trying to plan my trip to the Philippines.

• How long did it take to get your visa after the interview (weekdays/working days)?
  
• Did you have it delivered by Delbros or pick it up yourself?
  
• Anyone have their visa delivered to a third party or ever hear of that being done? (I would like it delivered to my cousins there in Manila)
  

I'm wondering if I should plan to go to Cebu for my wife's farewell party after the interview then come back to Manila or should we just wait for the visa to be in hand first. I'm trying to use the time I have there efficiently.

It would be nice to have "visa in hand" column

Does anyone know what happens if she has her period during the medical exam appointment? We don't know if she will or not, but just want to ask the question. Does it cause delays? problems? There won't be much time (one week to be exact) before the interview, so it is not like we could reschedule. Any thoguhts or actual experiences would be greatly appreciated. Good luck to all!!!!

>> You will fill up form from DELBROS and it got a line asking where do you want your visa to be delivered. They(DELBROS) will also give you authorization letter in case you're not around when your VISA arrives. My mom's the one who received my visa

I'm assuming BC is birth cert.

I don't think your BC is that important to them. Anyway copies just fine . My fiance just sent me a scanned copy of his income tax return but they did not question it.

Have her do the medical early. They won't do it during her period.

I don't think you need your BC at all for her interview. She needs hers, yours was required for the initial filing. I did not send over another copy and it is not in the list of documents that are required.

You don't need to reschedule it, you can just show up there anytime just make sure the appt. lettter is with her.

I don't think that it's a good idea to go there if your period is on-going . One procedure that she will encounter is she will get naked and the doctor's gonna check the brain of her tush .. so hope you see the connection... kinda eowwww

Of course, come one, come all, we'll be getting married in the mayor's office, ha ha ha.

I leave for Manila tonight (Sunday), and I just thought I should check-in and let people know. I'll be going to the embassy on Tuesday to get my affidavit to get married, and Fely tells me we'll be spending our first night in Manila before heading home to Zambales. After our wedding on Sept. 17th, we go stay at the Swiss Chalet in Angeles, I hear it is a very nice hotel, and near all the girly bars (which I won't be visiting, I'm bringing my own). Then fly to Hong Kong for 4 days. We plan to go to Disneyland there (no wise cracks), Ocean Park (see the giant pandas), and explore Hong Kong downtown. And I'll be returning to the US on Oct. 3rd.

I'll post updates when I can, and hopefully pictures from the wedding and reception. I do hope all that interview activity scheduled near the end of September goes well for all. I am so anxious to finally be able to file our petition come October. And before you know it, I'll be asking to be added to the interview list.

I picked up the visa delivery date from available info in the timelines. Average wait time is 7.5 calendar days from interview date to delivery if no AR is involved. Provincial delivery will take longer.
