Well, i just got off the phone with the Embassy. FYI you can Fax, send a letter or E-mail asking for a postponement. So it's a great relief to us. :dance: In case anyone else gets in this situation. B)

Well...finally have time to get back on here. LOL Between meltdowns at work, putting the finishing touches on the packet to send to Lye and preparing for a VA appeal hearing, it's been buuu-uusy. Then, of course, everything moves around on here since I last checked in. :wacko:

So. First of all, congrats to those who have interviews AND who've already had them and passed with flying colors! :thumbs:

It also seems I have good news to report as well: Lye's not received the appointment letter yet, but found out last Monday (1/30) that she has her medical on Mar 10th and her interview on the 17th!!!! :dance: I sent my packet of information out today via FedEx, and it weighed in at 3.9 lbs. <chuckle> Well, that should be complete enough, eh?

Since she'll be tied up with finals, tutoring and graduation for her students until 3/24, we decided I should skip the interview--but oh, I really want to be there for it!--and am flying over on the 22nd in time to see her in 'teacher mode' :yes: and see her 'kids' graduate. Hee hee. Should be lots of fun. After that, a couple days in the Manila, a couple in the provinces then 3 or 4 nights in Boracay before coming back.

So how long is it taking for them to get the visa out to the fiances these days? I'm soooo hoping that we are able to receive it before I go, and that we can get her on the same flight back with me on short notice. :D

will i have a problem if my nib clearance doesnt say it's for US travel specifically?

mine says "valid for travel abroad" not "valid for travel - USA" or something like that

i would appreciate your thoughts on this...thanks much!

i'm no expert, but i'm sure that travel abroad includes the USA. Remember that the nbi clearance isn't issued by the united states, so it wouldn't specifically single out the usa.

i wouldnt have thought it might be a problem if my friend wasnt told to specify what country she was going to when she got hers...anyhow, if anyone here has had their interview/visa and nbi clearance wasnt specific for USA please confirm, thanks :yes:

i guess i can always do it over tho, but it's a hassle

i'm no expert, but i'm sure that travel abroad includes the USA. Remember that the nbi clearance isn't issued by the united states, so it wouldn't specifically single out the usa.

I would love to have a copy of those .... By the way i have some inquiries to asked.

1) Same as with wind, me and my fiance have checked online dat i have the interview schedule by march. But the thing is i dont have the packet yet so we dont know when will it gonna be. As far as the thread info's i'll be calling embassy on monday to request if i cud picked it up instead in St. Lukes. bcos my case is, i had my family home address as my general info, but just recently i rented a condo here wih my son at Legaspi Village in Makati. And our home address is always emptied of people bcos they all work or study. Was afraid if someone may intercept accepting it, does Embassy courier strict to whom will accept the packet to received by:??

2) In regards with medical as long as with my son, Its about a month from now our interview date, so probably we will have medical schedule end of feb or early march but the thing is dats my menstration schedules and not have idea when exactly. So i need to visit st lukes for medical shud be in 2 weeks time or another.

3) In documents i need to passed, is all originals??? called DSWD about my son case dat he was named in my last name , just wna make sure if is dat really have no problem at all wihtout having cert to travel docs?

They told me over the phone, no problem dont need any certification.... just dont wna missed out things.

I knew he needs to be with me in medical exams , do my son needs to come with me on interview date??? since my husband-to-be will be with us on interview date at the embassy, does he will be sack on interview as well?????? afraid to have different exchange info's as well. :))

Same here with me rebelheart. I have a scheduled medical on March 13. But I have a hint that I have a period that time. I plan to call St. Luke's on Monday if I can have a medical earlier than scheduled.

Yes, you and your son will have a medical the same day. I've read somewhere here the experiences and advices for the medical. I may try to look and I'll post the link here for you.

Prepare yourself rebelheart. Prepare all the necessary documents.. all in originals. If you have spare originals to give to the embassy, then that's okay. If you don't, just be sure you have a copy of all the documents.

FYI St. Luke's telephone numbers are: 521-0020 and 521-8647

By the way... does anyone from you out there who experience or trying to have their medical earlier than scheduled? Do you think it's possible?
