Sorry to butt in but im just wondering if anybody knows how long does it takes to get an NBI clearance in Manila??? My husband cant get his police clearance not unless he got an NBI clearance they said...Thanks!!!

You might have better luck starting new thread with appropriate subject. Also try Asawa.org.

Do you mean police clearance from countries other than the Philippines?

If you use a "fixer" you can have it in 1 day.

Fixer is not necessary because NBI is already computerized and he can get it the same day.

Is this his first time to get NBI Clearance? If yes, he needs to go to the NBI Building, Taft Avenue, Manila and bring his birth certificate. Otherwise he can go to his nearest NBI kiosk like in Park Square I, Makati City SM Mega Mall (Bldg. B. Basement), Mandaluyong City Gotesco Grand Central , Monumento Caloocan City

Tutuban Center Mall 1, and Divisoria. He only need to bring his old NBI clearance cert.

x x x if I could make a request to them that I'm going to get my packet from their end x x x but I didnt think that I will receive an appoinment letter without an appointment date. Actually I did wait for a couple of days before going there just to be sure that my packet is already there and it's there but appointment letter has no appt date.

Anyway, I'm just going to call st. lukes tom afternoon to ask if my new appoinment letter is already there just to save time.

This is what you do to ensure that your packet has an appointment date. Call Dept. of State in the US at (202) 663-1225 ext. 1,0,0 They are the most reliable people to get info when it comes to interview schedule. Ask if they have a medical and interview date scheduled for your Manila case number. If they say they don’t have dates for you yet, then the appointment letter from St. Lukes would still show blank dates no matter how many times you request for the appointment letter. Now, if DOS says that they have an interview set for you, then I’m sure that the dates will be typed in your appointment letter the next time you request for it.

In the meantime, I suggest you wait until you are certain that you have an appointment date scheduled before you request for another appointment letter. Requesting for two or more letters might cause embassy to be suspicious of fraudulent activity and they could flag your case resulting in delays. Just hang in there and wait out the process and I’m sure your time will come.

But still the result is still AWESOME :).

We called three times (twice here in the local number and the other one is in the dept. of state).

After my first call I still doubted if I heard it right. So I asked my fiance to call them and the answer was the same. After a while PW posted an advice about calling the Dept of State and my fiance did that; we still got the same sched. Finally, after 3 confirmation I went to st. lukes to pick up my appointment letter, this time with appointment date :D .

If you are planning on getting a police clearance from Dubai, you'd better start right away. They are very difficult to get and take a long time.

Sorry to butt in but im just wondering if anybody knows how long does it takes to get an NBI clearance in Manila??? My husband cant get his police clearance not unless he got an NBI clearance they said...Thanks!!!

One day to get NBI clearance in Manila if there is no "hit" (criminal record, court case, namesake, etc.), one week if there's a "hit". Once your husband secures the NBI clearance, he does not need to get a police certificate anymore. But if he lived more than 6 months in another country then he will need a police certificate from that country.

If you use a "fixer" you can have it in 1 day.

It's never advisable to use a "fixer" because you never know if what they would get for you is the "real thing". You wouldn't want to mess up with the embassy on fake documents.

Wow brittanique, that's less than three months wait from NOA2, you lucky girl! Is that a fluke or is your fiance in the military? Congrats!

Updated to add brittaniquec_Chic's interview date.
