When you fill out the delbros form at the Embassy before leaving, it asked for a cell number. You should receive a text that day from Delbros welcoming you to the Delbros SMS tracking and it will have the tracking number in the text. The tracking number is your case number with a letter or number added (I can not remember which).

Sorry, I was incommunicado for two days. I was at St. Lukes for the medical. Medical down, interview to go.... Haaaayyy.....

The thing is from 2001-2006 i was kinda poor, and no where near the 20,000 threshold for the 1-34. I only averaged 8000 a year. However I will most likely get a job with the TSA in may or june. So i was wondering if they would look at job and it's 35,000 a year salary and approve the visa? I can get my parents to co-sponsor, but it seems that the consulate does not approve of this. Therefore should i worry about that, which would be 9 months down the road, and just file and pray?

I have read several cases in which the CO approved a visa when the petitioner had previously had no job, but for the past few months before the interview had a good paying job, and were approved. I believe you should be okay, but at the same time the consulate in the Philippines is known for being unpredictable, so you should plan on providing as much evidence as possible that you will be able to support your future wife. Having your parents co-sponsor also isn't a bad idea, though they may or may not accept a co-sponsor for a K-1.

I agree with StarProg. If you hold the TSA job when she goes for the interview 9 months down the road, you should be okay. You may file the petition now since proof of income is not yet a requirement. At intervew, you need to send her the ff:

1) 2006 W2 and ITR (Form 1040)

2) Employment letter stating your position, date started, salary, and if the work is permanent

3) Last 3 pay stubs

4) Bank statement to show savings, if any

Ohh for the DS-157, are they going to validate both forms or just one? Also for the medical at SLEC, I read somewhere that they only accept peso currency. Is that true? Can we pay in dollars instead? Thanks!

1) Only one DS-157 will be validated and that is good enough for the embassy

2) Nope, the mighty $$$ is not accepted at SLEC. The Peso rules there.

DS forms for my son??? Hi guys do I need to fill up another DS forms for my son just like how I did mine? DS 156? DS 156k? DS 157?

You need to fill up the forms as follows:

DS 156 - 2 copies for you and 2 copies for son

DS 157 - 2 copies for you and 2 copies for son

DS 156K - 1 copy for you, none for your son

Question for those of you that have had an annullment in the Philippines. When filling out your DS-156, did you check "Divorced" or "Single (never married)"? Thanks.

I checked Single (never married). This embassy link has the instructions:

http://philippines.usembassy.gov/wwwhnv15.html

Good catch on this one Gen. I did not see these instructions. I would have answered "divorced" as it is closest to the truth. Thank you Skeeter for asking the question.

x x x and I have to say Filipinas are the most beautiful women in the world, inside and out.

Ahem, ahem. But don't make a Filipina mad or you'll see ugly inside and out too :girlwerewolf2xn: hihihi

David and Mae....I could not agree more! My father, after three failed marriages to American women, has been married to his Filipina wife for 18+ years and still going. After having met my future Filipina wife and being involved with her for the last almost 4 years, I know it will be a marriage for life! There are no better women on the planet!

Scott (and Mirasol)

Ssshhh... Not too loud. Filipinas will get bashed in the other threads if "they" see this :bonk:

i had my medical recently and during the physical examination a breast lump was noticed by the doctor. for my own good she advised me to consult a private doctor. i had my ultrasound and thanks be to God diagnosis was fibrocystic change due to hormones and considered as benign. i asked for medical certificates from the surgeon and the gynecologist which i hope to bring during the interview because the lump was noted on my medical result. would this affect issuance of visa? just asking.

It should NOT affect visa issuance.

PS. It appears Judy was approved everyone(Thank God), we are just waiting.

I agree with Alan. Breast lump should not affect visa issuance. Although a cause for concern, breast lump is not a communicable disease.

Congrats Alan on Judy's approval. Have a happy life Bernie and Sherwin.

Updating to add place of visa delivery for w1n78 and dr. terps.

Hoping this isn't bawal. I just wanted to share, cuz i found this ad on the papers a couple of weeks ago. I personally haven't called the agency yet, but, the ad DID say the following:

(1st time immigrant) to LAX/YVR - $335

Air travel guide & tours - 3031410, 3031916, 4003013

If it's the real deal, well... wow. hehe. :)

K1 is not a first time immigrant thats what my travel agent said.

For Manila Embassy Interview:

I'm planning to fly to the Philippines to accompany my parents to the interview.

They have separate petitions/cases but their appointment day and time is exactly the same.

Q: Can the petitioner go inside the pre-screening room (with the parent applicant/s and the Filipina pre-screener)?

Will I be allowed? [ I didn't want to leave them alone-------with a possibly tricky or sneaky Filipina screener

Or do I have no choice but to wait for the COnsular interview?

Thanks a lot.

When I went with my Fiance, they told us to request to accompany that person for the interview. But when we did try to request it at window X or Y, they told us it was ok to do so and no need to request your present with the Fiance...

The Pre-Screener is a window, not a room. Also the Counsular interview is a small room w/ a window front blocking you from direct contact with the Interviewer. Basically it is like a Bank teller window here in the States....

hello fellow philippine vj'ers! well, i am here in manila with sherwin, it is our last day here as we will be flying out this evening heading for tampa, fl. a very emotional and happy day! thank you all for the help and support along the way. good luck to all those with upcoming interviews and those waiting to be scheduled. having been through it now we can certainly empathize with all the emotions you experience during this visa journey. i would say that we were pleasantly surprised by how fast it went. we were prepared to go over 12 months in this process, but in the end it was all done in just about 9 months from time of 1st filing to delivery of the visa! it is so wonderful knowing this red tape is all behind us and we are free to pursue our lives together as husband and wife! tc all, God Bless! we are not disappearing, but we will be very busy when we arrive in the states, so we may not be able to check in here as often as we would like, so wanted to get this post in before we left manila. Regards, bernie and sherwin

Congrats to you. :dancing: We're a fellow Tampa, FL to Philippines connection here. Hopefully we'll be on the same path in about 2 months.

hello fellow philippine vj'ers! well, i am here in manila with sherwin, it is our last day here as we will be flying out this evening heading for tampa, fl. a very emotional and happy day! thank you all for the help and support along the way. good luck to all those with upcoming interviews and those waiting to be scheduled. having been through it now we can certainly empathize with all the emotions you experience during this visa journey. i would say that we were pleasantly surprised by how fast it went. we were prepared to go over 12 months in this process, but in the end it was all done in just about 9 months from time of 1st filing to delivery of the visa! it is so wonderful knowing this red tape is all behind us and we are free to pursue our lives together as husband and wife! tc all, God Bless! we are not disappearing, but we will be very busy when we arrive in the states, so we may not be able to check in here as often as we would like, so wanted to get this post in before we left manila. Regards, bernie and sherwin

CONGRATULATIONS AND GOD BLESS YOU BOTH!:dance::dance:

I may be wrong but I think they want the photos stapled, not pasted.

Ha! See?...I was wrong! lol

Ate Cora, B&N had a successful interview and was out of the embassy by noon.

Maybe she will post the details.

Congratulations! B&N

Congratulations guys, and have a happy life together. Sherwin, you could always make it as a comedian. Thanks for the laughs.
