Approved! I'll write more later but my wife and I just stopped by an internet cafe to check email. We both saw the green and white strip "Approved" sticker at the last window so we're in good shape. Just waiting now for the delivery. I'll check back in later.

Is the wait for the interview coming down at all? We were lucky and only had to wait about two months but I have heard that the wait is now up to six months.

Jasman, we're not getting any new members listed so it's hard to say. But looks like it's down to 4~5 months now.

you know its a real shame this site isnt better known the information we got here was invaluable. yove told several women where she got all her ideas and info from and all were amazed at the information this site provides.

just a thought maybe putting up this site on a bullentin board at st lukes might be a way to better educate all the unfortunate AR's. its real amazing what the people on this site have been able to do to help the community that comes here myself included.

We did try to encourage the "lurkers" to get themselves listed. Maybe, they're too shy, I don't know. I'll try to keep this thread alive until after we're done with the May interviews. And if we don't get any additional listing, we don't have much choice but to just let this thread die a natural death... :cry:

sorry, double post but i can't seem to edit my post above.

a few more Qs:

-what are the things that my fiance can do now while waiting for our Case No. and interview date?

i know for sure he needs his passport and police/NBI clearances but what about things from NSO other than birth certificate? i've been hearing about a CENOMAR, is that a requirement? if so, is it okay to get it now?

-would it be too early to attend the CFO seminar? must have passport for it, right?

-i notice that they assign a medical exam along with an interview date. my fiance hates going to Manila (when he was 13...got mugged right by Hotel Nikko. he left the hotel room even when his parents told him not to. they took his "blings" and his clothes. hehe. it's funny now. ) anyway, my real question is...can we ask for an earlier medical exam appointment? he'd rather go there twice, overnight stay each time than stay an entire week.

i think i just ran out of questions. :help:

Hey rustyash, long time no hear. Can you please provide us with the first 3 digits of your Manila case number after MNL2005-xxx? Also, you might want to try and call DOS to ask if they might have an interview scheduled for your fiancee. The number to call is (202) 663-1225 ext. 100. The wait time at Manila Embassy is getting shorter so you might have a June or July interview scheduled already.

To Mychelle,

1) Yes, the CeNoMar is now an embassy requirement. Please click on the link below for a complete list of documents required by the embassy. Your fiance can start gathering these documents while waiting for interview http://usembassy.state.gov/manila/wwwh3217.html

2) Your fiance can attend CFO seminar without passport but needs to come back for the CFO stamp after visa is issued. For more info, please visit www.cfo.gov.ph

3) Once Manila case number is known, your fiance can go for medical anytime before the interview. No need to call St. Lukes to schedule an early appointment. But don’t do the medical too early as it expires in 6 months (some say one year).
