would anyone give me honest opionon of Philippine Airlines, I flew before, but only on short trips thru Phil Islands, my fiancee is flying from manila to SFO, ok do they feed you all enough, I am used to Korean air and Asiana, they are always so good, shud I tell my honee to bring some junk food and snaks on d airlplane????? I am worried I wanna make sure he has enough to eat on flight

There will be a meal after lift-off and another before landing. They are not large meals but sufficient. In between the meals you don't see much stewardesses much as most are trying to sleep. I was not hungry on the flight, but I did get hungry while waiting for the flight, and the food at the terminal is expensive, so I would recommend he bring some snacks to eat before boarding.

The original DS-156 and other forms included on the packet 4 are on short bond papers not on A-4 size so i guess short bond papers are fine. i had them recopied on short bond papers.

Actually, I got upset with this news. Especially with all the time and effort you exerted while your papers are with NVC.

Remember how we We PAID NVC that AOS fee bill of $50-70 ----I forgot....so that they can review it for completeness?

Well they should have warned you in advance about it-------you could have acted immediately before it even gets to the Embassy.

This is a good example of a "false assurance" by NVC. That Affidavit of Support Bill we paid is completely useless, non-sense.

Well Lorna was refused a visa. They said she needs a co-sponsor. Even though my property assets were way over the minmum allowed for property assets.

My craft business has been really bad the last couple of years so my income is way below minimum. Thats why I used property assets.

And the CO was talking to her about how would I support us and how could she even afford the plane ticket.

Thing is a co-sponsor has nothing to do with my income and how I will support us. That is just to take care of public charge stuff.... which my property assets could have done.

Bummer is I have no one to be a co-sponsor. I don't know what to do now.

My spirit is really hurting. All that time, work and effort....and stress. Now this. Wow.

Masakit pa ang mga kasu-kasuan ko dahil sa therapy na yan But the truth is, the body pain is caused by too much diving. We did 2 dives each day and we were able to log 14 dives each. We saw a thresher shark, manta ray, sea turtles, and all kinds of fishes and corals. While Doug was ecstatic seeing those sea creatures I was half-terrified. Takot kaya ako makain ng shark!

Hello Vj family,

Does anyone know here what kind of background checks (Philippines) are done in Manila Embassy just for before issuance of an Immigrant visa.

My parents are done with the USCIS and NVC background checks. (IR5)

Their interview is on April 2007.

What about (the background checks) in Manila Embassy?

The background checks I'm referring to are like:

Passport validity, authenticity,,,,, Department of Foreign Affairs check, Credit card companies check, etc.

I'm sure I know my parents.....

But I have not been with them for 6 years....so no one can be sure if they have any records.

Who knows? Only God knows.

My parents are cleared by the NBI and Police Offices. No record.

Frankly, all their NSO Birth, Marriage certificates are true.

However , I am not sure what other circumstances can prevent them from getting an immigrant visa.

Help! Any info will be needed. Please. Thank you.

Addendum: Finished/passed Medical at St. Luke's already.

Is there a service I can hire to check their National record myself? Filipino Private investigators?

Assuming our packet does not arrive or we dont want to wait on it, do we fill out the electronic ds-156 online? I can't find the straight hardcopy form online now. Even the link to the form in the packet instructions on Sheriff Uling's signature goes to the online electronic version. Is USE Manila ok with the electronic submission of that form?

PW, we are still on AR the embassy was unable to do simple math and subtract 9 months from december and see when i was in phils with my fiance and see that the baby we have could actually be mine.

They requested we do a DNA test to verify the baby is mine.

I had to pay almost $900 to get the tests done ,but all is finished now just waiting for the results to be sent back to manila and for them to release the visa and passport for the baby.

I know that the embassy is just doing what they are required but they have know idea the stress they can cause someone when they are keeping someone from being with their family.

I see my daughter growing every day and its so hard not being able to hold her or hear all the new sounds she is learning to make.

I am hoping we will be together at the end of april.

as of Nov 1 2006, the electronic version is now the required version. That is why the search, and the link now take you to that site. If you fill it out, make sure you have al the information before filling it out. Each time you click on it, it will use up another accession number, and they prefer you do not do that as it uses up their accessions, and bar code entries. It dont really matter, but it save s them a lot of entry doings, so they want it this way to speeed them up.
