Manila Embassy Interview

Just wanted to say thank you for the welcome. I have been around here (VJ) since mid-January actually, but never posted before to this thread. Just reading a lot and taking in the information. I have already found the articles you have spoken about from Sheriff Uling and Sillygirl. You are so right....very informative and useful information. I wish I had found this site before I started this whole process. Not that I made any huge mistakes, but just knowing there are so many others with like circumstances that we can draw from is invaluable. It certainly has eased a lot of stress and anxiety just being able to look here for answers to how this process will roll on.

As you requested, here is our timeline to be added to the list:

NOA2: 1-17-07

MNL RECV'D: Not sure actually. NVC said it was mailed out on 2/23/07, but when I checked the DHL site there is none mailed to Manila that day. There is one on the 22nd that arrived in USE Manila on the 26th and another on the 26th that arrived on 3/1/07. Is there a way to decipher it further?

K-1, K-3 or CR-1...AR is AR....IT SUCKS!!!!! We have been waiting 2 years now....every day on AR is like an eternity and very stressful...on one hand you wait for the visa to be released, calling the embassy every other day for updates....on the other hand you sit and wonder what foolishness the embassy will do next. And so we can only wait and pray.

Hope everything 's still great with you both,I do pray that the sun shines so bright to your case..Ive been following you guys and in fact it makes me really prepared with my son's case..like your fiancee 's child ,my son is 6 years before i filed his B/C and upon reading/knowing that they make big deal(?) with pics and proofs im armed with many pics/souvenier of my son when I have my interview..and you know what..? they dont even care to look to all that proof!!

I just wondered what else they want and need..I hope they will tell and be specific to your case.

I'm thankful you got an idea from our case. Well, Cora really told me about those pics as support in claiming Gracey as my real daugther but its too late for me to go home and look for those pics. They we're weird sometimes!..lol...At first they we're thinking that Gracey is Todd's daughter cos she's MESTIZA (She's so pretty than MOM..haahahahhaha). The lady consul asked me some pics with her when she's still a baby though we have lots of documents to show! (like joint affidavit from friends, baptismal cert., school records and her i.d) but still she was not convince..she was so nice though! I told her MY GOD...MA'AM she's my daughter....and I have lots of pictures at home with her when she's still a baby!!! I'm armed with her pics with me and her Daddy Todd but she's already 4 and they want the baby pics....lol....

Anyway, this situation now that we are in is the hardest part. lol....We we're waiting and waiting....waiting 'till when?..huhuhuhuhhuhu. Our only weapon is to pray and have faith in HIM, and keep our LOVE alive as always! WE know its worth waiting for!

Why you guys been waiting for 2 years? Did you try to do a visa before? We will prey for all of us! Waiting is the hardest thing when you should be together by now.

Yes her grandparents live there in Siquijor, I have been there 2 times and I love it there so much! I wish I can move there!!! hehehe

Good Day and Hello!

My Fiance (Mirasol) and I (Scott) are relatively new to VJ, but really have found it to be a lot of help. Thank you to all who post great information here.

A little about us....I am from California and my honey is from the Davao area. We filed K-1 visa back in October 2006 after a LENGTHY Philippine Anullment process for my honey. We got our NOA2 on 1-17-07 while I was visiting her in the Philippines, which was very nice as we could celebrate together. I remember it so well because according to the USCIS site it said now processing in July and we were not till Octover, so I was shocked when I got the email that its approved already. My honey was sleeping and I woke her up for the good news.

Then the not so good news came a few weeks later. Her packet arrived at the NVC and I called to inquire about whether it was sent on the USE in Manila. I was politely told that our case had been placed in "Administrative Processing". I asked what that was and how long it will take. The nice woman said, "I don't have any more information and I don't know how long it will take." What? No more infomation? How can that be? She just said sorry and told me basically, "Don't call us, wait, and we will let you know when it has been forwarded." I was in shock and panic. Luckily, I called back every week and on my second call the guy was nice enough to tell me its just "normal" security checks, but still no clue when it will be forwarded to the USE Manila. I kept calling every week and finally I received the good news that it was forwarded to the USE Manila on 2/23/07. We are just anxiously awaiting notification of her interview date.

In the meantime we are reading this site over and preparing documents for the interview. Hoping she can be here by this summer.

my grandparents came from siquijor too. We got lands in Maria but im not sure if it was sold already,my grandparents were all dead. But still we got relatives there who are still living and kicking hehe

Yes, Todd and I waited for 2years now like PW we we're here (START ALL OVER AGAIN)..lol. We we're on K-1 visa journey before but it was denied cos my marriage was not properly anulled. Though, I got a certificate from NSO that I'm single.

We we're not expecting that to happened! We we're so devastated! We decided to get married here in the Phillippines and now we we're in our CR-1 process but still on AR!...but atleast we're ready for this. He's been through a lot of this immigration procedure! All I want is that, to hand a visa so that he would be rewarded in all his effort. My little girl now, is very excited of her PINK ROOM, her Daddy Todd himself do the preparation, I'm so excited also to see personally of our PHILIPPINE design master's bedroom!

I think we will continue to Pray!

Oh, we went to Siquijor last October 2006 and we tour around the Island it was so nice there!. We enjoy a lot of our stay in KIWI. very nice place!

Welcome Scott and Mirasol. You will find excellent information for pursuit of your visa here on this thread. This thread is compiled of great people who care about others. I actually hired an attorney at $3000 for this process and regret that I did. The information that I learned here on this thread from all these fine people has been far more useful. i believe mid month or toward end of each month, if u got the "MNL" # there is website link in sheriff ulings signature, i believe you can type in the # and see if interview date is scheduled
