For the CFO, you only need a photo copy of your NBI clearance, BC, Passport (photo copy or actual passport with K-1 Visa), divorce decree/annullment... if 18-21 the letter of consent from your parents... 22-25 letter of advice from your parents.

If I am not mistaken, the K-1 is a non-immigrant visa not Immigrant so the requirement for the Immigrant Data Summary (IDS). Maria was not asked for anything like that and we are in Hawaii???

You can fill out the CFO forms there while waiting, bring a pen. 250 peso for the counseling and 400 for the actual stamp/certificate.

Sis and friends, I'm predicting a magnitude 9.9 earthquake early morning hours of March 3 in Manila... :luv::lol:

... and another 9.9 on March 2 somewhere in Laguna Beach, CA  hehehe

Hey Steven, you are in Laguna Beach right? 3 days to go, my friend!

Guys and gals, thanks for the replies regarding IDS. That should clear things up. IDS is not required at CFO for K visas.

I feel sad that our VJ friends are leaving one by one. Datnan at panawan, nandito pa rin ako waaaaaahhhh!!! :crying: (Rough translation: people come and go, yet I'm still here) 22 months... and still Patiently Waiting....:clock: Maybe it's time to change my name to Growing Impatient!:P

Are any of the fiancees out there claiming, if any, their deposit into the govt SSS, Philhealth and Pag-ibig. After all most of us will give up our PI citizenship.. Is this hard to do?
Hi fellow Vjers,

I would like to share with you my experience with Pag-Ibig. A month before my visa interview date (Feb 13), I dropped by Pag-Ibig to follow up the processing of refund of my brother who had moved to Canada and is now a citizen. In the process of waiting for the check to be released and filling up the waivers and quitclaim, I sort of quipped that I am also planning to stay in the USA if I get a fiancee visa.

The lady Ms. Pearl was so gracious to inform me that I just need to present my fiancee visa and accomplish some of the forms including a history of the dates and employers so they can trace your benefits. And this is just so easy...they even have the affidavit form that you just fill out and have it notarized, attach a photocopy of your visa, and in 3 days, you get a check in your name as refund of your contributions.

I am still amazed at their efficiency.

And for the SSS refund, they need to see that you are already 60 years old and you will have to open a bank account for them to deposit your benefits, and after one month, they will make out the check to you and they will credit your bank account monthly for your pension.

I have no idea about Philhealth.

Feel free to call me at 09229224000 until March 3. I leave on March 4 for Wisconsin for a wedding on March 10.

Maria

Have a safe journey, Maria! I've dealt with Pag-Ibig about 12 years ago when my father retired and yes, they are one efficient government office. Very systematic. I wish all govt. office were like them.

250 peso for the counseling and 400 for the actual stamp/certificate.

hi im tet and im a new member here!! im so thankful i find this site, its so interesting!! and i have some questions here and hope guys to here answers from you..it would help me alot! i just want to ask on how many days does the medical exam takes? and in presenting the proof our relationship,is it ok to bring a hard disk for our chats? :help:

The medical typically takes two days.

I cannot say with absolute certainty, but I am reasonably satisfied the consul will not look at a disk, it would be too risky to introduce malicious software to their computer system.

Good Luck

hi alanlvsjudy!! thanks for the information. I will be having my medical this march 15 and interview this march 22.. wish me luck!! :innocent: by the way,are you from Atlanta Ga.? coz my fiance is from GA. :)

have a nice day!! god bless..

hello tet & Judy!

Best of luck to both of your medical exams & interviews! Hopefully ... I could meet you up someday here in GA, & let's start the VJ Filipina's in GA.

I'll be here for any help for your further journey whenever your already here in GA.

Maria

Hi Maria,

Thanks for the SSS/Pag-ibig/Philhealth Informations. I didn't give a chance to pay attention to such things before I went to US, I've been a working citizen in Manila for 12 yrs continuosly paying all those kinds of government payments. And I'm glad every important info's are kept & posted here in VJ, I would be possibly pay attention to my benefits refund when I get back to Manila this June, the only schedule we always have because of the summer school vacation of my kids.

Have a safe trip on March 4, and a BIG Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! :dancing: Thanks again & God bless!

Hi Maria!

Yes you were right! I have a friend in Pag-ibig office and she just asked me my Original Passport and Visa then they will photocopy those in their office. I can drop there any day now (Mon -Fri during office hours) and she says I will just fill-up some forms to be notarized.

What i didn't like was she asked me to go back to HRD Dept manager of my previous job to sign a form for me. After that I will go back to Pag-ibig office to give them the signed form. I was resigned 2 years ago and I asked her if I can just present my Certificate of Employent only. They say its their rules so I need to follow in order for me to get the Php 19,500.00 cheque after 5 days.

Hello Ms Maria,

Thanks for this info but i have a question, is it possible to apply for refund online since im here in the US already? Id been contributing almost 11 years with Pag-ibig before i resigned my job last Jan 2007. I checked their website www.pagibigfund.gov.ph and wondering what form need to be filled up. Hope i can just send copies of documents needed to my former employer and they can process in my behalf.

Thanks.

Mari
