Luz is going to the CFO tomorrow. I am looking at the CFO web site and I don't understand what they are asking for.

Counseling Requirements for Filipino Spouses and Other Partners of Foreign Nationals

1. Two (2) valid identification cards (IDs) with photograph;

2. Duly completed guidance and counseling form;

3. If married, certified true copy and photocopy of marriage contract on security paper from the National Statistics Office (NSO), or Local Civil Registry Offices (LCRO); or original and photocopy of marriage contract duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy/Consulate (if married abroad)

4. Other documents as may be required by the counselors; and

5. Payment of P250.00 counseling fee.

Then there is this:

Registration Requirements for Filipino Spouses and Other Partners of Foreign Nationals

1. Original Passport;

2. Original and photocopy of visa;

3. Original and photocopy of Immigrant Data Summary for US bound/Confirmation of Permanent Residence for Canada bound/ Embassy Certification of Eligibility (for Spain bound C visa holders);

4. Original CFO guidance and counseling certificate;

5. Duly completed emigrant registration form; and

6. Payment of the authorized registration fee.

What is that "3. Original and photocopy of Immigrant Data Summary for US bound"?

What else will she need? Will she need to take the brown envelope in addition to her passport with the visa in it?

The counseling Requirements says something about a "2. Duly completed guidance and counseling form" and the Registration Requirements ask for "5. Duly completed emigrant registration form".

Is this the same form? I want her to go with everything she needs. Is there a guide for the CFO that she can use? Thanks!

Gary, my advice to this is this: Rosemarie had many conflicting answers from people at the CFO regarding what she needed to bring. My advice to her was to "bring everything she needed for the interview, passport, etc." You cant miss if you have everything with you.

PatientlyWaiting - My assumption is that visapoint is for petition-based, non-immigrant visas like student (J), (Crew ('C) temporary workers (H/L), Investors (E), etc. and not K visas. While K is non-immigrant, the intention is to adjust eventually to immigrant status. The K visa is also processed by embassy's Immigrant Visa Unit which is schedules interview according to "priority" hence K does not qualify for VisaPoint. But that is just my humble opinion.

Any one wants to pay $10 and try to schedule a K appointment using VisaPoint? Who knows, we might be in for a surprise.

Alanlvsjudy - Dont waste your money, you will have to wait your turn like everyone else. We ALL miss our sweethearts. I would suggest putting that ten bucks with $1990 more and go see her.

Thanks for your responses I really didn’t know about the VISA point. I knew it was too good to be true through. Cause this is what the website says. Doesnt say anything about K visa's; thats why I was so curious.

Hi PW. Update: Packet 4 received 2/27/07.

This may have been asked before recently. Does anyone know about April 5th and 6th? Will the embassy be closed for these Philippines holidays?

Never mind. I've answered my own question. The embassy will be closed April 5th, 6th and 9th. UGHH! Well our plan was to ask for expedited visa and to pick it up so we could fly back to Sheryl's home and spend some time with her family. I guess that won't happen now as we will still be waiting for Sheryl's visa to be issued so we can fly to the U.S. together on the 14th. Oh well maybe her mom and dad can join us in Manila while we wait.

Just came through the Honolulu POE today and Hawaii does require the X-ray. Not many questions and if you are traveling with your finacee, they will process both of you together. If your x-ray is in the check luggage like ours, they will go to the baggage claim with you and get it.

As far as Visa delivery, interview was on 15 Feb and received Visa on 22 Feb, 7 days total or 4 working days. Delbros text me on the 21st and the Visa was delivered on the 22nd. Ken & Maria

someone posted in another thread to hand carry the X Ray coz they asked for it at the at their POE in Hawaii. everything I've read or heard is you don't need to hand carry the X ray. I told Yazi to put it her in checked in. I just want to check to be sure, do you need to hand carry the X-ray?

That's just weird. I can't imagine why they would need to see the X-ray. Was the officer a doctor who can read an X-ray?

I'm a full time IT geek by day and a part time fitness dance instructor at a local gym in my area at the same time.I've included informations from both jobs when I filled up my G325 Biographic form for our K1 application..A few months have passed and I am now preparing an affidavit of support for my fiance and I'm thinking of using only my income from my full time job.I believe I've met the income requirement with my main job and it will be a little hassle for me if I try to combine incomes from both jobs because my part time job earnings is not consistent.It's my fun job,something that I do to make the lonely nights fly faster ..Will this be a potential AR for not enough/conflict of information? As a backup,I have a letter of employment from my part time job as well but the fitness director only indicated my per class rate in it.I will also send it to my fiance together with the rest of the I-134 paperworks. Let me know what you all think..

Yazi's POE was SFO. she was just asked for the brown envelope, passport with visa and the completed I-94. she was not asked for the x-ray. she had fingerprint scannind and photo taken. asked questions like whose your petitioner, when did you meet, are you sure he's single, etc... and reminded that you have 90 days to get married. welcome to America, good luck. the whole process took about 10 minutes.

It is advisable to be consistent with the answers especially if your ITR (Form 1040) and W2 report the part-time job.

I assume the "filing cabinet" is not necessary anymore. However, it is suggested to bring extra copy of BC (for K1 and K2). Depending on the state where you will be getting married, BC is sometimes required to apply for marriage license. For K2, BC is required for school.

Hi Mari! Glad to know you're in SFO na. Is it cold there now? Hala dali, tell Eric to bring you to Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, atsaka doon sa crookedest street , I forgot the name of that place. Ah, Lombard Street pala yun. Wow, sightseeing galore!

Dont forget Alcatraz and Jollibee in Daly City! lol... SFO will be my POE (this March 2- WOHOOO!!) and we will stay there for 5 days to see all these places.. and Visit with Mari. My Fiance misses Jollibee so we looked it up and found one in Daly City so we will go there (i hope they have Daing na Bangus since thats what he likes..lol) and visit couple of Filipino Restaurants too

Oh im so excited and I just cant hide it!!! lol
