Just adding some info's............... my elder sister works as PI Immigration officer
TO THOSE who going to travel with their child as LEGITIMATE means that the child BC showed up father's name or was after to father's surname even they were seperated or annuled. You need to bring permit to travel of your kid from DSWD ( you should arrange this with DSWD offices, its a must) or.....

Thanks for your input, Rebel. After reading your post, I decided to get a DSWD clearance for my son although my annulment decree states that I have full custody of him. I’ll get the clearance just the same so I won’t be delayed any further in case Philippine Immigration questions my custodial rights.

Do you think it will not cause any problem again of my birth certificate
in applying for the AOS.Its the reason why i was put in AR because of the

preparation date was earlier than the date i was born and registered.Do i need

to bring with me any additional and supporting documents or an affidavit of discrepancy?

Tcav, bring whatever you think will help make you feel comfortable during AOS. As we always say here it’s better to be over-prepared than under-prepared.

Danoco, gee, I see 6 different kinds of US taxes in the airfare computation you posted. Terrible isn’t it? But be reminded that the computation still does not include the Philippine travel tax which the airline collects on behalf of the Philippine Tourism Authority. Phil. Travel tax is P1,620 or $31~$32. Plus the terminal fee of P550. Whew! Taxes, the only thing certain on this earth. It follows you even to death ~ estate tax, inheritance tax, etc. etc.

x x x I had my visa interview last april 4 & my fiance is with me during the interview...until now I haven't got my visa from delbros...they said its not yet release by USE and when I called USE it is still being processed...we were not told personally by the consul if we are approved or not but we saw the approved sticker on our case folder...we were not told we are on AR...and I can't think of wny reason to be on AR...

its possible with easter theres a delay we can only hope thats all it is. anyways yove is outside the embassy its 3:30 ,and im sure there are several girls outside waiting lol. im hopeful ,but not expecting to get the visa im pretty sure it'll be an AR :angry:

I was pretty much done with my medical by 12 noon of the second day. If you're booking a return flight to Cebu, make allowance for traffic going to the airport (20 minutes without traffic from St. Lukes to airport) plus 2 hours allowance for check-in.

Manila-Cebu afternoon flights:

PR 849 15:00/16:15

PR 863 17:30/18:45

PR 855 19:30/20:45

Sorry to be nosey but I'm curious why you said that you don't expect to get the visa? Do you expect a problem with documentation? But good luck on yove's interview anyway. Think positive! :thumbs:

About the waiting outside the embassy grounds, I didn't think that lining up at 3:30 am would accomplish anything for me so when I went for my interview (I was scheduled at 6:30 am) I arrived at the gate at exactly 6:30am and was inside the embassy by 7am and was done with the interview (albeit an AR) by around 9am. Other people who had interviews scheduled at 7, 7:30 and 8am were ahead of me in the line but since I was scheduled for 6:30, I still got called ahead of them.

Visa were delayed because of the long vacation. I just got my Visa today but it was issued April 11.

ok several things one yove made the lady laugh she was very honest about everything about us how we meet etc. and it was very funny. some of the women there forgot to pay BPI others forgot police documents. the women was very kind to yove she showed her the folder with big red letters on the folder APPROVED i'ld say thats a pretty good clue. also with the error in her birth record it went through no problem. yove first name was misspelled LLovemyl instead of Yovemyl it took 2 weeks ,but we had it corrected by having the clerk from her province fly into manila to post the correction. it cost a few hundred dollars to fly back an forth ,and pay for her time from work ,but well worth it. also yove was asked for her baptismal certificate which she had ,but its not required. she had put all her paperwork in order in a nice binder that impressed embassy personal. :dance: :dance: :dance: with all that said we'll let you know anything new
