Manila Embassy Interview

someone posted in another thread to hand carry the X Ray coz they asked for it at the at their POE in Hawaii. everything I've read or heard is you don't need to hand carry the X ray. I told Yazi to put it her in checked in. I just want to check to be sure, do you need to hand carry the X-ray?

I read that too Roy and I wondered about that. I also wonder why St. Lukes would now ask for POE when they did not do that before. I called them today and all they can say is that the embassy requires them to ask for POE.

So, I'm thinking that maybe if a lady puts Honolulu as POE, they would advise her to handcarry her X-ray and for other POEs, x-ray can be checked-in? Or maybe, the immigration guy at POE made a mistake and took the x-ray? Wow, this is really confusing now.

For those who have recently entered the US, please let us know if your x-rays were taken at POE and where your POE is.

Regarding I-94 (arrival card), ladies please make sure that your I-94 is stapled in your passport. You will need that at AOS. I read in another forum last year that a US immigration guy trashed the I-94 of a K-1 because he said "she does not need it" but the girl insisted on getting the I-94 and indeed it was required at AOS. It's hard to get another copy of I-94 so please make sure you have I-94 before you leave immigration counter.

Happy trip to all who are saying goodbye to the Philippines tomorrow. There are 3 or 4 ladies I believe who are travelling tomorrow.

Have a safe journey!

That's what I'm thinking. She handed it to the Immigration Officer and by mistake didn't give it back.

on the I-94, may I suggest taking a look at the link in the Sheriff's signature. I had Yazi do that. after seeing it, it put her at ease to see it will be simple to fill out. I think she was having formophobia coz of all the one's she had to fill out during the visa process.

I guess I was lucky, the lady who had my finger scanned was nice, the (male) filipino interviewer was super super nice, and my American consul was super duper nice, hehehe. The documents asked from me were:

*NBI clearance

*Birth Certificate

*emails

*pictures

*ITR

*W2

*I-134

*Certificate of employment

The American consul asked me only one question,"what is your fiance's job?", that's it,went to window 37 and paid DELBROS. Advice to those who will be having their interview, eat heavy breakfast coz when I was about to have my interview w/ the Consular Officer, I was starving and I thought I was going to collapse, hehe.

I submitted DS156 EVAF, but it is ok to submit the ones from the packet as some of my seatmates submitted the ones w/out the bar code. Don't leave any blanks, put NA or NONE.

Hi everyone,

Well Lorna passed the physical with flying colors.... nothing came up about her cough.... which was my main concern.

Oh, now she laughs about how easy it was although I know it was a different story yesterday morning, hehehe!

She didn't enjoy the 9 vaccinations to much but was fine when we chatted afterwards.

Anyway just wanted to thank you all for your support here at VJ...This place is a BLESSING!

1. what is considered a late registered BC? I'm taking it that that's only when you're BC has that late register stamp on it? My Fiancee's BC is registered on april 22nd but she was born on april 15th. Is it considered late registered?

2. My fiancee's BC has her mom's middle name misspelled. It is spelled Tocino on her BC but her mom's middle name is spelled Tocmo. So in her DS 157, she spelled it the correct way of Tocmo instead of the misspelling of Tocino. Also her CENOMAR will have her mom's middle spelled as Tocmo instead of Tocino. Will this cause a problem during the interview? Does there need to be anything done to fix it on her BC?

1. Births are required to be reported with the Local Civil Registrar within 30 days. So nope, she is not considered late registered.

2. If it is an apparent typo error, your fiancee's mother's middle name should not cause a problem.

Dims, Lorna probably had two shots only as follows:

1 shot - for measles, mumps, rubella

1 shot - for varicella

The other required vaccines are not age appropriate like DT, Polio, HiB (influenza type 'B), HepaB, Pneumucoccal, and Influenza so they don't give those.

Congrats, macky!
