PW (Cora) please update - Jinky received her visa from Delbros today (Wednesday, Feb. 21st)!

For those who have upcoming interviews - it is my opinion that you should have full confidence that the courier they use, Delbros, will deliver the visa in a timely manner. There have been some who've experienced delays, but from what I have seen in this thread, those delays were with the embassy and not with Delbros. Requesting to pick up the visa in person is not necessary unless you absolutely cannot have it delivered to you.

Jinky was able to sign up to receive text messages on her cell phone from Delbros. The first text she received on Friday afternoon, the day of her interview. Then the second was yesterday (day after holiday) that her visa was in transit and she can expect to receive it with the next 1 to 2 days - and she is in Cebu. Very efficient!

It was over quick, although too quick that she unfortunately had hematomas on her arm coz of all the hasty needles poking at her and maybe a little unwell coz of the vaccinations. I just had to buy her a round trip ticket to fly back home to the province before her big interview. But she's recovering.. Her interview at the Manila Consulate is comin up this Monday, the 26th. Wish us luck!

We have Visa!! Mari picked it up on Tuesday and so after a quick visit to to get the CFO stamp, she's good to go!!

It still seems unreal but she's hangin' in Manila for the next few days and leaving Friday night for San Francisco.

What a challenging experience it has been. But after some bad breaks in the first few months, things have gone very smoothly for us. Just eight little months and finally done!! Actually for us it's almost two and a half years of impatiently waiting! I needed over a year and a half to get a final divorce after being legally separated in 2004.

Soooo thanks for all the notes and our congratulations to the huge group of newly approved couples!! :dance:

To our California friends, Fel and Frank, Steven and Jinky, and Joone and Lyann, we hope to find times soon to meet with you in person before long and have another celebration dinner. Mari and my son Daniel are both dying to go to Disneyland this Summer so we will be in So Cal for sure!

And for so many other of the terrific people Mari has hooked up with, we still have our broadband and our webcam so I hope we can also stay close and continue to help each other and let friendships bloom.

Take care y'all and we'll also continue here in VJ. The immigration process is one looooong journey!

Well, for me it was because Florenda lives in Cagayan de Oro and waiting for delivery would have been risky given that we are leaving on 2/23. I small delay in the delivery would mean rescheduling flights.

Oh im so Happy for you guys! and for Ate Ana too! Im sure gonna miss these girls. It makes me teary eyed everytime i think about what we had went through to be with our SO and how blessed we are. Im so thankful to everyone here, especially to Mari and Ate Ana who i had been with through the medical and interview and the Malling and Eating and eating.. lol I will miss you girls but we will keep in touch, right? Just a question for those who have just received their visas...how many months is the validity of the visa? Is it less than 4 months or ... ?

I apologize if this has been asked before but does it matter if Jinky answered on her forms that her POE would be LAX if in fact her plane does a stop over in a US Territory such as Hawaii?
