Manila Embassy Interview

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE COMPLETED THE PHYSICAL.....

My wife will go next week to Manila for her physical at St. Lukes....IF...

She receives the interview notice that I sent her that I received from NSO.

My question is.....

Did you only need to bring the actual interview notice only to your physical?

I'm thinking if she doesn't receive the package I sent her by Monday, I will just fax her a copy of the notice. Unless she also needs the other papers that came with the notice.

Is the interview notice all she needs from that packet 4?

Hey Mike,

My spouse will be at St. Luke's Wed and Thur, Feb 21 and 22, so u know. She received the DHL from me on Saturday afternoon, so she's good to go. I sent it last Monday.

FYI to K-1s, the CR-1s have their Packet 4 sent to their Agent if the beneficiary has chosen the USC to be their agent. We "agents" must send the packet to our spouses by whatever means possible.

I can see that you are excited, just as Rosemarie and I both were less than three weeks ago. Just think, more than likely in just a couple short days your waiting will be over and the two of you will be together. I believe that the waiting and the distance makes the heart grow fonder. thx pw, my mistake though, i didn't clarify, i meant the mysterious brown envelope that delbros will del along with the visa. 12 x 9 also? thx again

I think someone posted a picture of that brown envelop. I believe it’s also a 12” x 9” very thick sealed brown envelop with a “slit” on top and enclosed in Delbros plastic. Someone correct me if I’m wrong please.

Hi all. I read so many "visa picked up" comments on approvals that I would be grateful if the approvals who picked up their visa could tell me how you requested it and to whom you requested pick up from instead of Delbros delivery? How does the Embassy notify you that the visa is ready for pick-up? If pick-up from embassy is granted do you still pay Delbors fee? Thanks for your responses

From postings we've had so far, pick up is requested from the consul after interview. More often than not, pick up is approved if the USC is present. Consul will let you know when to come back for the passport. You don't have to pay Delbros fee if pick up is approved.

Happy Valentines everyone I got approve today!!! They did not ask me much question and did not ask a lot of supporting evidence only pictures and affidavit of support. The consul was very kind he even greeted me happy valentines before getting out of the room. Thank you very much everyone for all the inputs and special thanks to PW and Uling:thumbs:

Called Embassy about Interview notice/Packet 4....

Sorry to waste space for these silly little things but I figure if I need to know about them.... maybe someone else does too!

I called the Embassy because I remembered people posting about having the packet 4 sent to St. Lukes because of early physicals before they had received their packet 4 in the mail.

Talked to a nice lady at Ext.5184 and asked her to send a copy of packet 4 to St Lukes because my wife had not received her packet 4 in the mail and she would take physical in 1 week.

The lady said she would send it out today and it would be ready tomorrow at St. Lukes.

Interesting thing she said my wife doesn't need that packet 4 to get into the hospital. She can just go and get her physical. Hmmmm.... oh well, she will have the packet so it doesn't matter!

Yup, packet 4 is not really needed for people like us here in VJ who have advance knowledge of things to expect. Others, however, who are on their own would be lost without the packet.
