*** I have a wedding band from Paul my fiance (is it ok?)

Question : Do I need to fill-up and show the Visa Application Forms at St. Lukes? Do I need to complete the Documents in the Appointment Packet before they proceed on my Medical check-ups?

A wedding band can get you into trouble as Gary has indicated in his earlier post so keep your ring at home. You are a K1 and should not show up with a wedding band.

You don't need to fill up the DS forms and complete the documents in the appointment packet. Those are for your interview. St. Lukes will provide you with the forms that they would need for the medical. Bring your old x-rays if available.

What if the band is an engagement ring?

A wedding ring is great for if you’re married sure, but we both wear a ring for our engagement.

If even read: if you have a ring receipt too bring it with you for proof of engagement. True or untrue!

Hello everyone, I am here with question again. I tracked our visa status at delbros.com and I feel a little nervous because my sons visa is for delivery tomorrow and mine still says that SHIPMENT PROCESS IN THE EMBASSY. My confusion is that if they grant my son a visa, how come mine isn't out yet when in fact my son is depending on mine. What should I need to expect? I am so worried.

This is all about perception. If it looks like a wedding ring, you won't have a chance to tell them "it's just an engagement ring". You stand a chance of AR while they get a new Cenomar. Obviously, they are very strict and are making things as difficult as possible. Do you really want to take that chance?

Yep Yep, It was not a link, just the information abouth the Firt-Time Immigrant fare that got me to ask PAL. Either way, I will find out something form them online or when I get to Manila and talk to my friend that works in a travel agency. Ken

x x x The link you provided to the fare regulations was very helpful. I will let everyone know what PAL says as soon as I get the reply.

Umm  I'm tempted to take credit but I don't remember providing a link to the fare regulation. Maybe another VJ member did? Hey, stand up to be recognized!

But I'd like to see the link so I can read up and try to familiarize myself with the rules so if you can post that please.

Chill-out! you gonna be OK  . Interview already approved, just the embassy still on process printing your visa. You will received your passport with visa as long as with your son. More keen to wait, for the text messages that delbros will send to you, telling that they're off already to send the visa to your given address for the day. That's if you give them cellphone number for them to contact for the updates of the visa delivery and they making sure that the receiver is at home to accept the visa's, unless you authorized someone to accept it, they won't give it to anyone but to you or authorized person, or they will reschedule the delivery of the visa again.

Goodluck! (F)

My wife and I are both very nervous today. Her interview is Thursday. I am usually very optimistic about everything in general, but this has me worried. I am thinking of anything that might cause a problem with her Visa approval. I am now wondering if they do a background check on the petitioner also? When I was in college I was married 2 weeks. I had went to Las Vegas with a girlfriend and we got a speedy wedding there. Two weeks later it was annulled, as we both realized we made the decision from the influence of alcohol. I didn't add this information to my petition. I am praying that this will not come back to cause a problem.

My question is this: Do they perform a background check on the petitioner that would divulge this information? We are applying for K3, as we are in fact already married. God know, I so much pray that this will not be a problem. I feel that they should easily see that we are married, so there is no problems in that fact.

While you should have put that on your petition I am not aware of a check on the petitioner.

Glenn, As far as i know the USCIS and NVC do the background checks on the USC. If there was a copy of the annullment, it might be smart to have it available at the interview but not offer it up. JMHO, Ken

Wearing a wedding ring to the medical at St. Luke's is a bad idea if you're on a K1 fiance(e) VISA. I think a little common sense could go a long way here. How could you be getting a fiance(e) VISA (which requires you to be single) if you're already married?

My fiancee wore her engagement ring to the medical and it didn't come up.
